Why 48k was clear before update and became bad after update?

Puck-Soon Loh hace 13 años actualizado por Jona (Lead Developer) hace 13 años 0
i do have a question for y'all. I am using the Lite version and I wonder why the radio that I listen to in 48k is so not clear. It was clearer before this, but after the latest update, it became bad.
On the other hand, i had tried listening to the higher bitrate (128k), but it kept disconnecting cuz the mobile internet here is slow.
Can someone help???

For ur info, u can go to www.radiofeeds.co.uk, and listen to Smash Hits Radio.
Been testing this for sometime and 48k is just not as crystal-clear.
Thanks.

Some low bitrate streams seem to be decoded incorrectly by many Android devices.  This is a known issue on the Android community.  I would recommend you try the internal stream engine.  That stream engine uses our own decoder not the Android decoder.  It is in beta mode but soon we will release final version. To try out the internal stream engine just go to XiiaLive->Adv users and set to ON the internal stream engine.

Unsupported format for MPEG 128kpbs?

Anónimo hace 13 años actualizado por Jona (Lead Developer) hace 13 años 0
I am getting unsupported format when trying to play a radio stream.
Radio station "unitedbreaks.fm" has two streams available, both MPEG but one has a bitrate of 32kbps and the other has 128kbps.
The 32kbps plays fine (although lower quality) but the 128kbps, keeps on saying unsupported format.

I have just tried both radio stations on an HTC Evo 4G phone and it worked just fine... Does it still not work for you? If not what phone and Android version are you using?

Nexus 4, just upgraded to 4.3 crashing on all internet feeds.

Ian R-P hace 11 años actualizado por Jona (Lead Developer) hace 11 años 0

Just upgraded to Android 4.3. XiiaLive Pro crashes on any attempt to play a stream. It doesn't full-out crash, a pop-up comes up and says XiiaLive has crashed, but it stays running. The little notification area on the bottom left says "Service Crashed!" . I am unable to provide a SendLogs as my phone is not rooted, OR SendLogs also has an issue with 4.3 and cannot obtain them also.

little green dot, little gray dot in the black window

Image 45

What are these dots good for, the left one green, the right one grey? They are in the middle bottom of the black window in any skin and any orientation, any station, the window one with the station and song name and kbps. Version 3.2.0.5.1 full.Thanks.

They indicate that you can swipe to another screen. That other screen is the playlist. Some stations provide a playlist full of URL links to their various servers. This allows you to see them and pick another.

losing metadata

Denvernate hace 13 años actualizado por Jona (Lead Developer) hace 13 años 9

I'm still losing metadata, this has been happening with every version after 2.1.8.  It will show, then disappear intermittently.  It might show song title info, no station info, or the opposite, or neither.  It might reappear when the next song plays, then gets wonky again.  It's not the station, I'm streaming my own radio feed that has solid metadata info.

My phone:

Droid 1

Kernel: 2.6.32.9-cm-stk

Android ver. 2.2.1

CM 6.1.2

There was an issue with SHOUTcast radio directory.  This issue cause many stations to fail with an error "playlist empty".  SHOUTcast has said they been looking into this issue and as of now it seems fixed.

Please let us know if this is still an issue for you.

How do I add a direct cell phone link to my station on my website?

Tad Zaccard hace 13 años actualizado por Jona (Lead Developer) hace 13 años 0
I run a station called Waxtrax Radio at www.waxtraxradio.com
http://174.123.20.131:8150/listen.pls
What I am wanting to do is put a link on my website and say "listen to waxtrax radio on your cell phone using xiialive by clicking here"
Or download Waxtrax Radio for your cell using xiialive here"
Basicly putting a direct cell phone download link to xiia for tuning into my station.
How do I do so? Can this be done?
Great app love it!

Hi Thanks for your feedback! You can put the following link on your website:

This will direct user to the Android Market. They can than download the app to their phones.
