Can you add support for saving the title and artist of the current artist song playing (eg. Tunewiki has the ability to email this info).

Kristov fa 13 anys updated by Jona (Lead Developer) fa 13 anys 0
Eg. Email someone the current song title. At the minimum it would be nice to copy the info so that it can be posted and sent manually.
Answer
Good news for you ;) We have had the tagging feature way before TuneWiki ;) If you like a song press the tagMe button on the player. Once you do go to your tags. Long press a tag item and you will be provided with a few options. There you can click share or you can click edit and press copy tag to place it on the phones clipboard so that you can paste it anywhere you need.

Auto start stopped working recently

Blackwolf fa 9 anys 0
I had a Galaxy S3 what Xiia was working great on, and a few months back, the auto start/stop stopped working.  I have my phone connected to my Toyota Prius, and normally, when the Bluetooth connects, the car sends a "Play" command by Bluetooth.  After I started having the problem, the Bluetooth would connect, but nothing would start. When I use any controls in the car, nothing starts the player (play, pause, next, prev, etc) and no "playing song info" shows on the display.

I recently got a Samsung Note Edge from Verizon, which I returned and got a Note 4 (because you can't do Internet and voice calls at the same time, because it has only one modem instead of two  :\  ) and I am having the same problem.  If I start the player, the stop the car and start it again, it works, but after I leave for a while and come back, it does not work again.

I am thinking that maybe there is another rouge app taking over the "default media control" on my phone, so I am wondering it here is a way to force Xiia to stay the default (by setting the option any time a certain Bluetooth paring starts, for example) or have an app or screen I can go to so I can find what app it is that may be taking the control over, so I can delete it.

I know you have an "auto start" option, but that starts playing music out of the phone speaker before it connects to the car Bluetooth.  Also, when I am listening to a CD or FM when I start the car, it starts the player and wastes my data, because I am listening to a CD, but the player is still streaming.

Some AAC+ files plays in mono

Sandro Antonucci fa 13 anys updated by Jona (Lead Developer) fa 11 anys 1
Hello,
using this amazin app I realized that AAC+ streams weren't playing correctly (SBR wasn't applied) so I googled the problem and I read here that using the internal decoding (in beta I KNOW!) will solve it. It did fix it, quality is much better. But then I realized that some streams were decoded in mono (infact it shows 1ch) so I thought I would report this issue. It must be some different encoder those streams use.

By the way why using the phone decoder won't decode the correct way? I tried aac+ files (NOT STREAMS) in Music (standard android app) and the playback is correct.

Thank you

Currently resolved on latest versions of XiiaLive v3.

when I click the button of the earphone can not access the function of the phone call, but only turn off and on XiiaLive. What do i do?

When I click the button of the earphone can not access the function of the phone call, but only turn off and on XiiaLive. What do i do?
Answer
In general if you have an incoming call the app will allow the answer button to work to answer a phone call, however when you are already using the app using this button to place a call I'm afraid it won't be possible.

You could try going into XiiaLive->settings->User experience and make sure Media controls are set to OFF.  If that didn't help please let me know.  In that case we would want to provide an option to disable XiiaLive from taking over the call button.

Can't stream music from Xiialive on my sprint sampung epic 4g to my car (2009 volvo s 40) via bluetooth

mari garcia fa 12 anys updated by Jona (Lead Developer) fa 12 anys 0
I feel like I have watched all the videos, gone through all the steps that are listed on the website and in the support forum, but I still cannot get the music to stream to the bluetooth in my car. I called sprint and they had me update the PRL on my phone, but still nothing.  The ability to stream to my car stereo via bluetooth is the ONLY reason I chose to purchase the full version of this app, and unfortunately I have not been able to use it. Someone PLEASE help! I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
Answer
There are a couple things you should check to make sure you have everything setup properly.
  • Make sure your're paired device supports "Media profile" and is connected.
    • To check go to your phone settings->wireless and network->Bluetooth settings.
    • Long press on your pared device under "Bluetooth devices"
    • Click Options...
    • Make sure you are connected to Media under "Profiles". If you don't see it that means the paired device doesn't support Media profile.
  • Make sure you can play an mp3 from Android media player.
Note that XiiaLive doesn't interfere how audio is routed to a BT device.  XiiaLive only listens for BT events so that it can automate the auto stop and play features.

Unable to play local M3U playlist

Waclaw Antosz fa 9 anys updated by Werner fa 6 anys 12
I have a local M3U playlist (on my phone)). I use ES File Explorer to open the playlist with XiiaLive Pro. The app opens but does not play anything and I see a "Fail to Connect" message at the bottom. Here is my playlist:

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:-1, RockRadio1.com
http://87.98.146.216:8000
#EXTINF:-1, KQLZ Pirate Radio
http://66.85.154.211:9035

Each stream plays fine if I add it manually to my favorites. However, I don't want to do that as my real M3U file is much larger and I actually use Dropbox to sync it between my devices. I have paid for the "Pro" license understanding that playing M3U playlists is supported. What am I missing?
Answer
Hey @Walclaw, sorry I haven't replied sooner. We are a tiny company, I'm the only person taking care of development and forum support for XiiaLive. :/

I have resolved this issue. I tried playing an m3u playlist from dropbox and it now works correctly. Just to confirm you where seeing the error E:-12 correct? I'm hoping to release an update this month. We have a lot of nice changes going into this update.

Can't start Favorites from homescreen shortcuts, followed by not able to start any stream from inside app either

Bobo fa 11 anys updated by Jona (Lead Developer) fa 10 anys 1

I start with pasting a previous post, because it seems my reply get in the post.

From another user's post: """"I have XiiaLive Pro.

I have a bunch of favorites saved, and I'd like to make shortcuts to them on my home screen. I know to make these shortcuts, but the problem is that when I use them, XiiaLive Pro fails to connect to them. The problem is not with the station, however, because I can select the exact same favorite from the player itself and the station will load.

The problem is only when starting playback using shortcuts from the home screen.""""""""

""""""My post"""""""

I got the exact same problem when updating to the latest version from v.2.

After installing version 3 I made fresh shortcuts to my old favorite stations, since trying to use the old ones gives the message "Application is not installed on your phone".

But the fresh shortcuts doesn't start the stream... I click the shortcut, the app opens in the Player window, it very fast says Connecting, then Fail to connect, then Unexpected stop... it all happens in just one second a few times... then it says "Max retries reached" and nothing more.

But still it works perfectly to start the same favorite station from the Favorite tab inside the app.

...Hm I've been fighting this problem about 3 days now and tried it maybe 50 times, without writing a post here since I didn't get any response on my last question... the funny thing is when trying it while writing this post Xiia got totally stuck, it didn't matter if I pressed a shortcut or a favorite station / one of the Top Channels inside the app, it got stuck on Unexpeced Stop (when this happens the Player window says "Unknow" "Unknown song". And when sliding the station info in Player window to open the playlist or what it's called, it says "1. audio/mpeg) even though I clicked the shortcut.

I then cleared the data in the android settings, and added a fresh favorite... but no luck, it now again is impossible to start playing from the home screen shortcut but works perfectly when started from Favorites inside the app.

PLEASE give this problem some attention, I've bought and used Xiia for a very long time without any problems, and in the last weeks it's become unusable over night, and I use this app many hours every day :(

Hi Wilson,

At the moment we don’t have a beta released. You can sign up (becoming a XiiaLive beta tester), when one becomes available, your current XiiaLive version will be updated.

Also, you can get the last XiiaLive Pro version from here and XiiaLive version from this link.

Thanks.

Song or station list sharing option not working

skuff fa 9 anys updated by Jona (Lead Developer) fa 8 anys 4 1 duplicat
Hi, I have a OnePlus One running CMS 11 (Android 4.4.4), XiiaLive Pro 3.3.0.3. None of my stations will light up the "share" button. I cannot send track or station info to text or email or other. This used to work but now doesn't. I also checked on a friend's samsung mega 2 running 4.4.4 and app version 3.3.0.3, same problem.  Have I accidentally turned the feature off or is it currently not working?
