This issue has been seen across multiple devices. The main issue is with these devices containing buggy Android media framework. In many cases this issue has been resolved after upgrading to a new version of Android or in other cases simply restarting the device.

Because of this error and the uncontrollable versions of the Android media framework across devices we have been working hard on a brand new stream engine that handles every single area of streaming and playback. This should solve a lot of issues in the near future. Stay put for updates on this new stream engine.

Please let me know what version of Android your device is running on, what version of XiiaLive are you using, and if this happens with AAC stations or MPEG stations.

I'm running Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3, on my Polaroid Model PMID 3702, 7 Inch Tablet! Unfortunately, it's giving me the "Android Media Failure PVMFP Pending Notice", after 4 or 5 attempts! Afterwards, nothing!:(

Thanks for the info. I'll be releasing the next few days a new update with a few tweaks about the error posted here.  I would recommend to check with that update... Meanwhile you can get the stream to work by going to Settings->Stream and selecting the stream engine FFMpeg.
