There is currently no way of doing that. It's a great idea to have something to import your favorites from other sources. We will keep this idea in mind and try to come up with a good solution.

Just discovered the backup setting. But can you look into the keyboard issue when hand inputting favorites? My keyboard starts getting laggy and inputs long press characters with just the slightest tap.

Next update allows you to export and import your favorite stations and songs to an XML file which can be edited on your PC.

This would be a very cool option! Especially lengthy urls (e. g. with tokens for premium services like Digitally Imported etc.) could be edited more easily.

I've bookmarks from another xml file. Would there be a chance of, at some point, there be an option of importing those bookmarks? I don't mind adding every one individually, but if there's an easy way to do it, I'm in favor of that.

At the moment my idea is to allow importing a text file with all the URLs you want to import in a space or comma delimited format.
So you would have:
http://12312312323 http://asdasdsa/asdasd.m3u etc...
Then all URLs will be processed and imported automatically. What you guys think of that? If you have more details or ideas on this area let me know.

I agree with the other suggestions here. It would be great to have a way to import URLs in plain text format from a PC into XiiLive. Comma or space delimited would be fine, or just copy and paste one at time would be adequate for me, if that is easier to implement. As we all know, some URLs are incredibly long.
Some time ago i used a symbian uiq3 app called virtual radio that had an xml file easily customizable on pc, about categories, urls, and name shown. i should still have something saved on cd, if it maybe useful i can try to search for it and upload to the net. Let me know, bye!
I looked at the backup file and, as I'm sure your know, it basically is an xml text file. Would another option be simply adding additional URL's into the backup file then importing it? Each <station> tag has a lot of attributes, but how many of them are actually necessary to get a useable Favorite?
Not as easy as copying and pasting, but easier than hand entering a 50 character URL.!

Next update there will be a new way backups and restores are done. A much easier way! Also, the backup format will still be xml but the fields will be renamed to be easily understood. I'll try to post on the forum's Wiki how to edit the file and what fields are needed as a minimum after the release.
Thanks, Jona.
