Currently our default radio content provider is UberStations. Previously our default was SHOUTcast. You easily switch back to the SHOUTcast directory and try searching for the station again. You can do this easily by going to the home page of XiiaLive and tapping on DIRECTORIES. There select SHOUTcast.

If you know the station information and want to add it yourself to the UberStations radio directory you can follow this link. Thanks!

No way we are loosing asx! :) Please post the URL if you can or send it to me via a private message or email to our support email. Thanks ! :)
Oh man, yeah the previous fix had a hole... The BBC urls do have expiration times and the playlist is still getting cached so the issue is still happening. I will figure out how to improve this. Maybe add an option to allow playlist caching. By default would be OFF. I'm thinking individual stations would be able to control this.
Thanks for the request. Currently there is no option for what you are saying. Essentially, we will be adding the ability to record soon. This will allow you to record a live stream and be able to listen to it later on.
Awesome XiiaLive Beta works for you! I just updated the status of this post. Check it out should answer your question. Thanks!
Hey guys, I would like to let you know that after just about 10 months of hard work we are now so close to releasing our latest stream engine! The best one ever built! :) This stream engine supports just about all formats and it allows you to seek on all formats. It is also really smart handling network tower switch-offs and other little details that make XL even better!

If you can't wait for the official release please download XiiaLive Beta to check it out! Let us know how it works for you! :)

Thanks for the info Marc. I see that the log has error "HTTP error 403 Forbidden" this means the station server is not accepting connection. Please try using XiiaLive Beta to see if this issue is resolved.
Great questions! Our main goal at the moment is to push our XiiaLive Beta FFmpeg stream engine out to XiiaLive and XiiaLive Pro as default. The version of FFmpeg stream engine that we use on XiiaLive Beta is completely different than what is available on XiiaLive and XiiaLive Pro. It is fast, smart and solid!

Here are some of the main differences between Android and FFmpeg stream engines.

Android
It uses hacks to get radio streaming to work on Android. This causes various limitations for us and cross device compatibility is not great. It doesn't allow us to optimize every single corner of the radio streaming process.

FFmpeg
It uses open source code which allows the app to support just about every single popular audio format available on the internet. It is also the best stream engine available in the world. Yes, we are very pumped about the quality we are bringing in. :)
