There are a couple things you should check to make sure you have everything setup properly.
  • Make sure your're paired device supports "Media profile" and is connected.
    • To check go to your phone settings->wireless and network->Bluetooth settings.
    • Long press on your pared device under "Bluetooth devices"
    • Click Options...
    • Make sure you are connected to Media under "Profiles". If you don't see it that means the paired device doesn't support Media profile.
  • Make sure you can play an mp3 from Android media player.
Note that XiiaLive doesn't interfere how audio is routed to a BT device.  XiiaLive only listens for BT events so that it can automate the auto stop and play features.
Unfortunately it seems like you're backup is corrupted... Could you email your backup file?  It should be located on the sdcard.  I could verify if it's corrupted and see if I can fix it...

Because of this kind of issue we are changing how we do backups.  We will use a different method that will cause backups to never get damaged... :) Plus, we are adding cloud syncing for favorite stations and songs...

Yes there is currently an issue with how fast media playback starts on some Android devices.  Specially on the Android versions you have specified.  We've tried in many different ways to get around this issue but no success.  I believe that in newer versions of Android this is not an issue anymore.

In regards to the metadata out of sync, we are about to release a new update that will always have the metadata sync'ed.  This new release won't solve the startup long delay but will make it seem like it's not a problem...  "think seek bar ;)"

The issue with AAC was mostly a proxy issue with devices... I  haven't seen the same issue with streaming AAC with the start delay.

When using the internal engine what message do you see when it disconnects?  Could you capture the device logs and send them to support@xiialive.com?  This could help me see what could be causing the Internal stream engine to not be able to stream.

Thanks for your request! Progress bar already in the works! We hope to release soon.  Stay posted on our twitter or facebook account for when the beta version is released.
As an alternative try searching "Belo Horizonte" here:

Do that from your phones browser and click on the station you are looking for.  If it works save it as a favorite! :)
Most cases this is not an issue with the app but with the phone and or paired device.  I would recommend you restart your phone and try again. If that doesn't work try playing an mp3 from the android music player. If you can't hear anything than the BT media line is not paired...  Try going into the Android settings "wireless and networks->Bluetooth settings" Than long press your paired device and press options.  Make sure "Media" is checked and is connected.
We are currently working on XiiaLive 3.0.0v that we hope comes out ASAP.  It doesn't contain album art yet but does contain a lot of awesome features TuneIn does not have.  Those features will be released soon.
Thanks for writing about this issue.  I'll take a look and see what I can figure out from this...
