Few important not so obvious details.  Here is what supports seeking and what supports pausing.

Stream engine: Android

Supports: Pausing on AAC, AAC+ and MPEG.  Seeking only on MPEG format.

Stream engine: FFmpeg

Supports: No pausing or seeking. We are working to provide seeking and pausing for any format when using this engine.

Ah! I now understand what you mean with favorite widget.  Essentially you have created a shortcut to a station on your home screen.

Are the shortcuts old? Like prior to XiiaLive v3.0.0?  Might be the case that somehow the data on the shortcut are stale?

Thanks for the feedback.  Seeking is currently only available with streaming MP3/MPEG stations. Currently AAC/ACC+ stations aren't supported for seeking.  The FFmpeg engine does not allow seeking... However, our next goal is to allow seeking any audio format when using the FFmpeg stream engine.

Thanks again for writing back! We would possibly tweak minor things on the new skin but nothing huge that would make completely different.  A new car specific skin is definitively the way to go.  I don't have a date when we would have that but you can bet we will create one sweet skin that takes into account the things you want bigger and better for in car use.

You can edit a paired BT device to only use media and not phone calls.

Simply go to:

1. Android settings-> bluetooth

2. Long press the paired device and press options

3. Uncheck "Phone"

Instructions might be a bit different depending on your devices android versions.

Thanks for the post! Yes, we will still be working on FFmpeg trying to improve it.  Currently there might be some jumpy skipping going on with AAC content.  We are working hard to make FFmpeg hopefully one day the default engine since it's more stable and reliable.

Just to make sure I understand your request:

You would like to have a widget that shows you your favorites and you can click them to start playback without having the app open?
