Was there any insight on this?  I'm the original poster and I continue to have the same problem, but now even worse.  The M3U association seems to get reset at random -- I can't tell what's causing it.  I haven't noticed it with any other intents.  At this point I wish there was some way to semi-permanently set my default M3U association.  Help me, please!
