Yea, we know... if you have Facebook, like "DroidLive"... I've been using it for a couple of days...

Also, if you are running Android versions 2.3, 2.3.1, 2.3.2, or 2.3.3, your AAC+ streaming will still not work, and you'll have to use the internal encoder for AAC/AAC+ streaming.  2.3.4 fixes the audio framework issue, but it's still nice to have an internal coder, because the code (should?) be cleaner, and can be optimized more easily than the Android OS will be...

happened again this morning...  was at -8000 seconds.  I would have let it go, but I had to switch over to 3G to drive to work.  So far, it has only happened when I've used it overnight, docked, wi-fi.  Running Cm 6.1.2 (Android 2.2.1) and Xiia version 2.1.9...
I have done a bit of testing.  Some of it is not your apps fault, but CM 7.

OG Motorola Droid:

Tested on CM 6.1.2 (Android 2.2.1). Wifi/3G on Verizon network in Austin, TX

Streaming while on 3G: Perfect 98 out of 100.  With a 30 second pre-buffer, no skipping.  Buffering seems to work correctly this time around, and I see the percentage go up.  Drove to work this morning, road with many hills/valleys, and no loss of connection or buffering...

Streaming while on Wi-fi: 10 of 100.  Pre-buffer gets up to around 70-80%, then the connection mysteriously dies.  When I was able to get a connection and stream, it would play for about 30 secs, then re-buffer, or try to re-buffer, and then 'unable to connect'. Home network is fine, I can surf the web on my Droid with no issues, just the streaming.

ViewSonic G tablet:

Tested on CM 7.0.2 (Android 2.3.3), only has Wi-fi

Streaming while on wi-fi: 100 out of 100:  hours of music with no issues.  no skipping, no issues.

That being said...  AAC  does not work on Xiialive 2.1.8 with Android 2.3.3, so if you are on nightlies of your favorite ROM and it's not Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) or greater, you are still out of luck, or you'll have to downgrade to 2.2 (Froyo).

Was using this link to stream AAC content: http://www.phantom.ie/now/phantom64aac.pls

For MP3 streaming, was using the link in the original post:  http://2503.live.streamtheworld.com/KBZTFM_SC

One other thing.  You have a 'pre'-buffer, and a 'buffer'... why would I want a pre-buffer of 30 secs, if the playing buffer is only 10 secs max.  Can't you make the playing buffer longer, because your app loses that large buffer after it is playing, doesn't it?  If not, then what is the 'buffer setting for?

I sent an e-mail to the connect@ e-mail on your home website.  I would have sent it to your visualblasters@ e-mail, but I wasn't sure which one is yours.   I mentioned about a specific Android tablet that I can also test it on...

yea, I spent the better part of yesterday trying to work this issue.  Maybe there is a sticky where you can add something to the forum, or in your official FAQ (?) to talk about this.

Incidentally, now that this radio station's stream is MP3, XiiaLive 2.1.7 is super solid.  I still have some issues on Gingerbread 2.3.4 with it not seeing a connection, but I long press the "STOP" button, which kills the process, and then hit "Play" and everything seems to work it out.
I had the same issue.  My radio station that I listen to (KBZTFM 94/9 out of San Diego) changed CDN providers from Liquidcompass to StreamTheWorld.  Streamtheworld encapsulates the MP3 stream inside a Flash audio container.  Pain in the arse...

But after searching for a solution, I happened upon the answer...

I don't know what a "chumby" is, but by inserting "PULS87" into this link:

http://provisioning.streamtheworld.com/pls/PULSE87.pls

You get a playlist file that will show you the following links:

File1=http://1591.live.streamtheworld.com:80/PULSE87_SC
File2=http://1591.live.streamtheworld.com:3690/PULSE87_SC
File3=http://1591.live.streamtheworld.com:443/PULSE87_SC

Any one of those links will hook you up...  They are MP3 streams, so you can take full advantage of the buffer in XiiaLive.  I have mine buffering the full 10 seconds, and my stream no longer skips...  It's even more awesome than before.

yea, I have the same issue... I can't get this to play on my phone...

It's funny, the radio station changed providers from liquidcompass (AAC) to 'streamtheworld', which is some kind of POS AAC stream wrapped in a FLV container.
I'm running OG Droid with nightly build 60 of CM7, and Xiialive 2.1.7.  I had an issue with it initially saying that I didn't pay for it, but that's over...

Now, the only issue is that, after less than 5 minutes, it will say "completed", like it was a finite stream...  and the stopping and buffering is much worse now (on par with Radio Time
Awesome! I will be upgrading to the latest nightly of CM7 (Build 60), and test this ASAP...
Any idea on when that will be?  Please say 'soon'...
