Send intent to API (Tasker)

Hi!

I've seen the Intent-API which you've published, which is super.  However, I can't figure out how to get it to work in practice.

Could you post an example, please?  Ideally, in order of preference, in Tasker, using adb or in Java.

An example either of resume playback or play URL would be perfect.

Thanks!

I just wrote something about the APIs we support for controlling the app and receiving metadata and playback info. Please see the following post.

If you want more details or have questions please let me know and I'll try to reply as fast as I can. Thanks!

OK.  I have the answer to my own question.

Tasker: Misc / Send Intent

   - Action: com.vblast.xiialive.intent.action.PLAYBACK_RESUME

     (say)

   - Cat: none

   - Leave everything else empty except

   - Target: Service

And similarly for the other Intents.

Works well.

Thanks! Great feature!

Hey sorry took this long... :( Let me write something better and with more details today.

Hello,

Sorry for my n00b question. I can not manage to get the metadata with Tasker (let's say the track title). Could you give me a guide, what to add as event which triggers the task, that receives the track title.

thanks,

Norbert
