Headset button not working

My bluetooth headset play/pause button does not work in XiaaLive (2.2.4 lite).
Enabling XiiaLive as the default player for media control has no effect on the problem. Other music players are working fine with my headset. Uninstalling all other music players (including the default one in the os) have no effect on the problem either.

I am running android 4.0.3 (official) on Nexus s

I have written a little android app to test some things out, and figured out the following, I hope it helps:

My headset play/pasuse button seems to send this 2 KeyEvents:

Perfect! Thanks for taking the time to investigate! So, the keys you are getting aren't supported by the app... But no worries I have just updated it and should be part of the next update we are doing very soon!

Could you download XiiaLive Beta and verify this has been fixed there? Thanks!
Installed it, started the app and the music in foreground, headset button started my last used (factory) music layer. Then I turned media control on in xiia, but it did not change anything. Restarted the phone, started tunein radio to see if headset is ok with it, it did work well. Started xiia and headset buttons worked well in xiia this time, and it is working well since then. However I do not see any effect of turning media control on or off in xiia, the last used music player starts in both case, if I press the headset button when no music app is running.
Thanks for the reply! I'm not sure I understand your post.  You said the media controls settings on the beta version works now fine?
To put is short: I had to reboot the phone, but it seems working fine after it.
