Makes sound while turned off

Once I've used Xiialive Pro, it will continue to make the disconnect sound "gulp" even while the app is turned off, even if I deliberately kill the app by upswiping it from the list. Only a restart seems to kill it.  Running on a Pixel 3 with the latest updeats if both the OS and Xiaalive.
