[XiiaLive Beta] Constant force closes with the latest beta on Nook Tablet

Recently i updated to the latest beta on my rooted nook tablet running cm7. After updating, i get constant force closing. Would it be possoble for you to send me the apk for the previous version? I have a lot of shortcuts on one of my screens and none of them work with this latest beta....the shortcuts launch the player, but i always then get an immediate force close. Thanks for all of you hard work!

The crash issue seems to be due to the custom ROM.  It is crashing because it can't init the EQ properly.  This is something I read on a forums for cyanogen.  I still have to investigate a little more.

If you could reproduce the issue and collect the logs could help me find out if this is indeed the issue.

Thanks for looking into this issue...As per your request, I have reproduced the issue and then immediately emailed the logs.  Thanks again!
I have the same problem with AOKP running ICS. Switching the stream to FFMpeg resolves this particular issue.
Is there any advantage using Android instead of FFMpeg?
There are advantages on some devices.

Using Android engine most cases is better in terms of battery usage since the media is decoded by hardware which is highly optimized for performance and low power usage, but not all devices decode at the hardware layer.  FFmpeg engine decodes currently on the software layer which is a bit more power consuming.

Some devices tend to have decoders that do a horrible job decoding AAC streams. They sound very low quality... That's when FFMpeg engine can fix that since it uses a different decoder.
