Can not open pls and m3u files

1.) Device: Motorola Moto g (2013)
2.) OS: Android 4.4.4
3.) I tryed to open .pls & .m3u Files out of the ES File Explorer, and then it says: Connection Failed.
4.) I expected that the .pls & .m3u file should be opened and played
5.) I clicking the es file explorer and then scrolling to the .pls & .m3u files, then selecting a file, and then it shows me that comnnection failed

So, please help put of that problem :)

Same here. If the pls is opened from a web page (I use Firefox) then it works. Open the same pls locally it fails.

I am using Samsung 4S, and it works fine for me. Maybe the file you are using is corrupt?

I am unable to play pls and m3u from websites.  Created my own bugfix as my issue seems to be reverse of this?
