Thanks for your feedback. We did see this issue very rarely and it's hard to reproduce for us. But we believe our next update should resolve some of this issues.
Wanted to add - this does not happen on wifi. But since I use this app almost exclusively on 3g that's still a total bummer.
Yes I'm getting this with the following stream http://icy-e-03.sharp-stream.com:80/magic1054.aac for Magic London.

Really annoying as I get a quick blinking 'stopping' and that's it you can't play anything else.

Please Xiia fix this, I wish now I'd stuck with the Lite as nice as this app is I cant switch between my faviourite streams and have to fully reboot the phone, so it looks like it's back to the more ugly but perfectly working mediayou player.
Also getting this with the Lite version available on the Market, running on a Desire Z with stock 2.2 ROM. Very annoying, I have to do a Force Close to get the app to connect to any other streams.
Guys I'm happy to let you know a few things about this issue and what's coming on the update 2.1.6 which is done and is currently being tested!.

1. Super fast stopping respose.
2. The issue with stopping is an issue seen on the Android MediaPlayer. We hope this happens a lot less than before and if it does we added a forceful stop option by long pressing the stop button... That's so you don't have to restart or force close the app via other means...

Thanks for using xiialive!

I am currently running version 2.1.7, but I started seeing this problem recently. I've tested the problem using a Clarion CZ500 car stereo and Sony DR-BT22 headphones. If I connect via wi-fi, Xiia stops correctly every time. If I'm streaming over the 3G connection, Xiia goes into the infinite "stopping" state and will stay in that state until either the battery dies or until I long press the stop button.

I also see this problem if, while playing a stream, I go back to favorites and choose a different stream. The new stream does not start. The original stream will stop playing, but the player will remain in the "stopping" state until I long press the stop button.

Hope to see this working again soon. Thanks for making a great player.

Droid Incredible running froyo.
I don't know if this will work for you, but the same thing just happened to me, and I "spammed" the stop button (repeatedly pushed it) and it began working again...
