Bluetooth connects/disconnects in car

Hi, I was so disappointed that one of the coolest features in XiiaLive did not actually work for me. When i get into my car (Toyota Auris Hybrid); XiiaLive connects to BT, starts and then stops immediately.  I'm running Android 2.2 on a Galaxy S

Does your BT stay paired with the car all the time?  It could be possible that it disconnects.  Try unchecking the auto stop on disconnect option under the XiiaLive BT settings.  See if that allows streaming to continue...

I saw your post at the other forum. Let's keep the rest of the conversation here ;)

Can you reproduce the issue and capture the logs? The logs will help me see exactly what is going on and I can further investigate the issue.

To capture the logs:
1. Download "Log Collector" from the Android Market.
2. Reproduce the issue.
3. Run "Log Collector" right after reproducing the issue.
4. An email will be prepared. Send that to us at: support@xiialive.com

I actually got it but the logs where chopped...  Could you try again reproducing the issue and capturing the logs? Make sure to send the email that the program prepares... If you copy paste it might chop the content...

I have this problem too. 2011 Honda Odyssey with HandsFreeLink (BT).

It connects, then will work, then will drop again. Even if I have the "auto play" and "auto stop" disabled, it still starts playing no matter what.. which is odd.

This all started when I changed from a Motorola Droid X to a Samsung Droid Charge.... so maybe it's something to do with Samsung phones and BT. Froyo 2.2 on Verizon.

I do have a Motorola Xoom, and will try it with that and see what results I get but the Xoom is Honeycomb (3.1). It didn't seem to happen on my Droid X that I can recall (Froyo 2.2).

Some cars send BT events such as PLAY and STOP when the car stereo pairs to a BT device.  You might get away with disabling the "Media controls" under Settings->"User experience".

No option to disable Media Controls (Actually there is no User Experience option either) in Settings.

It does auto play and auto stop no matter what the Xiia BT settings are set to (both set to off).

Do you have the latest version of XiiaLive? Make sure you do.  Once you open the app go to settings->user experience and there you will find this option.
