I tested many radio stations but it can't play any of them. I used XiiaLite v2.1.6. When I try to listen to AAC stream, it connect and buffer and then it drop connection and again conncet etc.

We are currently looking over some issues with AAC streaming on Android 2.3 and this issue is similar to the one seen on the LG phone.

Update:

Could you try the newest version of XiiaLive v2.1.7? I placed a couple minor fixes that could do the trick on your particular phone running Android 2.1.  Let me know! :)

Update 06/02/11:

Update v2.1.9 brings a lot of optimizations. Please checkout this new version. Also, try using the internal stream engine. That might work for streaming AAC content.

Look around on the forum here... you aren't alone. 2.3 Android (Gingerbread) has a mangled audio framework, and the XiiaLive devs have got people looking at it, and implementing a new streaming engine using libmad and libfaad. The next version slated for testing (soon?) will also support wma/mms streams as well as fixing the aac issues...
Thanks Bryan for your reply... Yes, we are working on an alternative.  ffmpeg lib to be correct ;)
Still i have aac issue :( I'll wait for new streaming engine. Maybe then i can use raidos in aac+
i think you should see an older version of xiia  because i read that it could play aac stream
No, it can't... if Gingerbread (Android 2.3) does not have the proper libraries, you aren't going to be able to play the formats.
We might have on this next update AAC beta support added for 2.3 devices.  When I say beta, it's because it will work but no guaranties it will work perfectly... :P
Any idea on when that will be?  Please say 'soon'...
At the very latest I want to put out an update before the end of April. I hope its even sooner...

On internal engine there isn't any problems with aac streams. Topic is closed.

Thanks ;)
I tried it but i still have problem with internal engine. Moreover on external engine aac streams are played in mono. You sholud see early ver. of xiia (eariler than 2.1) because on my phone ( android 2.1 not 2.3!!!) there wasn't any problem with aac streams. Maybe there is solution ;)
The reported channel count are reported incorrect on some cases but the streams are being properly decoded. So you don't have to worry thinking you are playing mono streams.  These stations are joint stereo so that's why they show up as 1 ch.

I'm not sure I understood the last two sentences of your post :( sorry.. Could you expand a little more?
No problem ;) My english isn't perfect. I have Lg gt 540 (works on android 2.1). i read somewhere on internet that there wasn't any problem with aac on my phone. i'm not sure but i think it was xiia 2.0.9. And i think you could see code of xiia because maybe there is solution of this problem
Oh, ok so it used to work for you using a previous version of Xiia. I'll be looking at this to try to figure out what's wrong.
in fact, i didn't use this version. I read that it used to work. So if you send me link to older version, i could chcek it ;)
