Utilize 60 minute buffer in car without cell service or wifi

Kev Levin vor 11 Jahren aktualisiert von Jona (Lead Developer) vor 11 Jahren 4
Hello,
Is there a way to listen to the 60 minute buffer cache without cell service or wifi? Is there a setting to put the paid version on so you do not get a connection timeout and lose your buffer cache!

I do not have cell service so I wanted to cache 60 minutes in the buffer over wifi and then listen to the 60 minute cache in may car without using a cell service.

Thanks for the request. Currently there is no option for what you are saying. Essentially, we will be adding the ability to record soon. This will allow you to record a live stream and be able to listen to it later on.
Hi,
You can try to listenen to Swedish Radio P3 Light Music and Pop on this adress:

http://http-live.sr.se/p3-aac-192

Swedish Radio always use 75 seconds as default serverbuffer and a very fast uplink speed. The servers are situated in Stockholm. If you want to try a lower bitrate you can change that very easy and wright 96 or 32 KBit/s.
I f you want to have a shorter delay than 75 seconds it very easy in Xiia Live Beta (FFMPEG) to move the timecursor to the most right and if you will have a even more safe stream you can pause the stream and take a coffebreak and then start again. Don't wait to long before restart. Can you and other listeners try to test theese streams?

The Radio Paradise streaming app beta has just added a buffer configurable up to 8 hours for this purpose. It would be nice to see it in Xiia.
Thanks for your feedback. I believe a buffer/cache duration greater than 1hr is unneeded. I think what you guys need is the recording feature. With the recording feature you would be able to record a station without any limits in time and later on listen to that recording without needing an internet connection. Soon we will start the recording implementation. At the moment we are pushing hard for our advanced streaming engine. The stream engine will be a lot smarter on how it handles internet connection loss.
