XiiaLive not responding to media buttons on bluetooth headset

Hey there!
I recently grabbed your paid app to get the bluetooth controls advertised since I'm generally listening using my Sony MW600. However, when pressing the start/stop key XiiaLive doesn't react even though it's the currently active app. The key does however start playback on my other media player, Poweramp, which is set as my default player.
Is this a known conflict or a bug? If you want logs, it's no problem at all.

Thanks for your feedback! There seems to be a small issue with playback controls on some newer Android versions.  This issue has been resolved and will be release very soon.  You can download our XiiaLive Beta from the Market which has this issue already resolved.  If you keep the paid version installed it will unlock the paid features on the beta. Let me know if this works for you.

Ah yes, sorry for not mentioning my Android version, it's 4.02. Anyway, it does indeed work with the beta. However, when I do press the button Poweramp starts playing, instead of there being silence. Not sure if that's something a call to your app should block, or if there's a setting in Poweramp / Android. I'll poke around a bit tonight, but if you've any suggestions on how to solve the conflict I'd love to hear them.
Either way, thanks for clearing my primary issue up! =)
Cool! Well, you can actually make XiiaLive block all media controls and be directed to Xiia only. Go to XiiaLive->Settings->App control.  There you will find the option "Media control" switch that to ON.
Hm. No siree, that didn't fix it... Poweramp still starts playing as Xiialive stops. Still using the beta version, mind. I also tried to kill the Xiialive process and restart as well as killing the headset process from Poweramp, neither of which helped.
I'm not too familiar with Poweramp, but they should have an option to disable becoming the default media controller.  It's a bit agressive on their side if they don't provide such options.  I'll install their app and see what I find out...
Hm, they do indeed seem very aggressive about it. In fact, there's only two options. One is to disable bluetooth controls altogether, the other is to *increase* bluetooth priority =P

I've posted a request on their forums at http://forum.powerampapp.com/index.php?/topic/3331-better-bluetooth-headset-priority-controls/. I'll get back to you if I hear anything.

I am running the latest XiiaLive beta on my Verizon Galaxy Nexus with rooted Android 4.1 Jellybean. When I stream a station in XiiaLive through my Bluetooth stereo, the Play/Pause button on my Bluetooth works but the forward/back buttons do not. I do also have PowerAMP installed but I disabled media / Bluetooth controls in PowerAMP and I made sure to enable them in XiiaLive. Even then, XiiaLive still does not respond to the forward/back Bluetooth controls.

Can you please fix this ASAP? I primarily use XiiaLive in my car and if I can't change stations by pressing the Forward/Back buttons on my stereo, XiiaLive essentially becomes useless to me.

I recommend you install the latest official release of XiiaLive since the beta is now outdated.  The beta most likely had some things modified that might have allowed previously next/prev buttons to work.  In order to use the next/prev buttons now your must install XiiaLive Pro. It should work on that version.
