Xiialive 2.2.2 internal stream engine bug update.

blaxx 13 років тому оновлено Jona (Lead Developer) 10 років тому 3
Hi, its been a while since I last posted, and and happy to see a improvement in 2.2.2 internal streaming engine, however I would like to share a couple of observations you may be interested in. Some of these issues may or may not have already been pointed out:

1. Sometimes does not reconnect to stream when switching from 3g to wifi and vice versa, most of the time it does reconnect ok.

2. Sometimes when starting a stream the internal streaming engine service will crash (force close). Again, most of the time it starts ok.

3. Metadata not shown for AAC+ streams.

The android streaming engine is not affected with these issues, but I want to use the built in streaming engine, I think its more efficient. :-)

These observations were on a Samsung Captivate, running stock Froyo 2.2.

Thank you for your continued improvement of Xiialive, and am looking forward to future updates. :-)

-Larry

Thanks for your feedback! Yes, we are getting ready to d oa new update which will bring metadata support to the internal stream engine.  About the other 2 issues I'll investigate further.  If you do reproduce the crash issue it would be helpful for us if you can capture the error logs.  With that we will be able to see what could be wrong.

Jona, I sent a email of the error log with the issue of xiialive 2.2.2 internal stream engine crashing issue when starting a 32 kbps aac+ stream using the log application that you said to use. The email will be from blaxx70@gmail.com. I hope this helps you out, talk to you later. :-)
