Hi Tom, great feedback. I think the WiFi issues we will need you to reproduce and trigger a bug report. The bug report will hopefully give us a hint of what is going on. When you send us the bug report you can simply paste the url to this forum post to give us a hint of what the bug report is about.

About your other questions:
1. XiiaLive will not affect how the phone functions. So the general case is that the device automatically connects to WiFi when WiFi is enabled and it finds a WiFi connection which has already connected to. So the answer is yes from mobile network to WiFi should be automatic.

2. The red markers simply shows you that a disconnection happened and the stream engine recovered. Kinda shows you that we did something awesome. :P Here is a bit more info about the seekbar.
Having a chat room to talk to the radio station you are listening to is a great idea. However, at the moment we don't have any plans for this feature but hopefully in the future this becomes a reality.

If there is zero internet connection for two minutes the stream will most likely give up trying to recover the connection. So if music stops playing, due to the fact that there is no internet connection, after about 1min the connection will timeout and it will reconnect loosing all the previously stored audio data. The best thing you can do is set the pre-buffer to 60,000ms. If audio stops playing because it is waiting for network connection or it is buffering simply seek back in time using the seekbar. This will just replay what you heard and internally XiiaLive will be working to try to recover.

I think a 5min pre-buffer is really unneeded. With the stream caching we do you already can store up to 1hr of live radio. The only thing is you would have to press pause or seek back in time. Could you let me know why you want 5min pre-buffer? Maybe your answer could help me improve XiiaLive or maybe give you better ideas to resolve your needs. Thanks!

We do use the PlayStore beta access system. We mainly release there updates that are larger and will potentially be the official final release.

No updates yet... I haven't had a chance to work on it too much. Stinks cause I want to get this feature done but there aren't enough hours in the day. :(
