Exactly what I'm looking for also! And for exactly the same reason - "10 seconds" too late. Had this feature on a Symbian app on an Nokia handset, but haven't seen it on any Android program.

Hello Jona,
Just tried this and, of course, the backup now worked fine. Didn't change anything as far as I know, except maybe a reboot of the phone.
So, guess you can mark it closed.
