I use an HTC EVO 4G LTE.

Whether or not time-shifting "deserves" the space, it's better UI design to allow that to be the user's decision and make it user configurable. It's taking up a ton of space and I seldom use it. It's a great feature but that space would be better served for me by having access to a skin that moved it to a secondary screen and allowed the primary screen to be more readable.

The problems with the "original" skin is that it uses the same fine-line, small and low contrast fonts as the new skins and more importantly, it doesn't have landscape mode. Landscape mode is a non-negotiable necessity for me.

The status bar I refer to is the small green bar at the bottom of the screen that displays connection status and duration. It's very small now.

Instead of tweaking the existing skins, which many people like...how about just making more skins, such as a purpose-built car friendly skin?

I can't stress strongly enough how much I value XiiaLive and how difficult it now is to use in the car.
