Reporting insufficient space to install
My Samsung Infuse, Android version 4.4.4, had XiiaLive Pro installed on it for some time. No problems. My phone developed a problem that I still don't understand (system processes were force closing constantly). I uninstalled a number of apps, including XiiaLive, and moved some others to the SD card, to clean it up and get it working again. It is better, although still not sure about it. When I try to reinstall XiiaLive I get an insufficient space error and it fails during the install. It appears to download OK. I'm trying to figure out what the space issue is. I think it should have plenty of space, and I have installed or reinstalled other apps without trouble, including TuneIn, which I've done temporarily in order to have a radio app. Any help with diagnosing the problem is appreciated.

Hi, go to Settings -> Storage and clear cached data and reboot your device. This will NOT delete any of your personal data!
I think I've done this before, but did it again and still got the same error. The message says "Insufficient storage available."
Looking at Settings/Storage I see for Internal Storage:
Total 1.28GB
Available 720MB
Apps 656MB
Cached 1.55MB (after clearing it)
USB Storage
Total 13.03GB
Available 10.30GB
SD Card
Total 14.83GB
Available 2.92GB
I do see that I still have other issues, because I get a warning about a mismatched UID, and the Gmail app stopped. Not sure if they are part of this problem or not, but as I said I am able to install other apps. Thanks.
Hello! Apologies for any delay in our response. It seems like this is a Google Play issue if you're installing from there. Can you please try clearing Google Play cache app. Thank you!
Your response has been quick. No problem.
I cleared cache for both Google Play Store and Google Play services and rebooted. Same error when trying to install XiiaLive Pro. The error gives no info about where the problem is. If I could install to the SD Card it might not give me that error, but I know changing the default is not easy, if it can be done. I can try side loading it to see if it will install, if I can get a copy of the apk. My only question about that, does it see it as a purchased app for updating purposes. Thanks.
It sounds like that the dex file of Xiialive in dalvik-cache partition, was been broken. If your device is rooted, you can use Lspeed or other 3rd party apps to clear the whole dalvik-cache partition. If not rooted, turn off your phone. Hold vol up + power + home button at the same time and release it when you got into recovery mode. press vol up/down to move highlight and power button to select. Now to down to wipe /cache partition and press power to select. It should clear /cache (user cache) and /dalvik-cache partition.
When you turn on your phone, it will take longer time to boot than normal. Only one time. It just like you turned on your new phone for the first time after you bought a new phone :)
If it still not work, backup your data and factory reset. It will wipe everything except external SDcard
Looks like I'm going to have to do the factory reset. Clearing the cache partition and dalvik did not work. I don't have a lot on this phone. What kinds of things am I backing up? I have a few contacts and message threads. I assume I will need to reenter my Google ID? Thanks again.
Factory reset has resolved all issues, including not be able to install XiiaLive. I suspected I would need to do this, but hoped I could get by until I had more time to deal with it. Basic functioning of phone was working, which was most important thing, but gotta have XiiaLive working, so it got serious. :-) Thanks again for all your help.
