Thanks for sharing these. I took it a step further and used AI (full disclosure) to fix everything else. The app now targets a higher SDK version so it can be installed on newer versions of android without using switches to override the block. It asks for the permissions it needs on launch so it can actually function on these newer versions of Android if manually installed. Most importantly for me it has a modern version of OpenSSL so HTTPS streams now work again! Even though we have been abandoned by the developers I got it into a state that will make it usable for years to come.
