What are you essentially expecting the exit button to do for you? I have had various requests for an exit button and would like to hear your opinion.
Thanks!
It might have been better if your explanation was a bit different. I didn't understand what you meant at first... thinking that you were meaning "If you stop the music everything freezes up". What you meant to say is "to exit the program, just press the square that stops the music from playing, then press your 'BACK' button on your cell or tablet, and that will exit the app." This however is not necessarily intuitive, and there should be an exit button as that's the first thing most people look for when they want to exit an app. OR you could add that as a final mode when pressing the BACK button on the cell or tablet... that when there is no further BACK step to go, it automatically exits the program, even if music is playing. Just a suggestion! :) Thanks for a great app, btw! It's replaced PANDORA for me!
I would add that although other apps may have an exit button, many of them such as Slacker Radio or TuneIn Radio continue to run in the background even after the exit option is selected. Some of these apps even lock themselves into memory thereby preventing android from killing them or by auto relaunching after being killed. In my experience Xiia Live interacts the best with android as it readily allows the system to kill it's process if memory is needed and doesn't start at boot. Thanks developers!
I've done a test with a fully charged (and just rebooted) phone.
Started Xiialive, listened for 10 seconds and pressed stop. I then went back to sleep, and lo and behold, 1.5 hours later the program was still using CPU. It had kept my Nexus 6 (lollipop 5.1) awake for the entire time. Normal use when doing nothing is about 2%, now 14% of the battery was gone. So in this case pressing the 'stop' button definitively did not stop the program!
please add an exit button. I'm totally in support of those that clamoured for this!
There is no exit button and Xiaalive Pro is always on. I can't switch it off. Please tell me how to stop it from running in the background. Every time I kill it, it just autostarts again. Only by putting my phone in flight mode can I stop the program from running. I will then hear that typical noise of Xiaalive not connecting. Even when I've not been using it. I'm very displeased.
This is relevant since it takes place on the screen ( exit option ) and protection false ( ON ) When using the phone .!
