Oops I did sorry about that!
I'm changing the answer now.
Please make sure the file is still a .dat file (dbliveBk.dat). I reproduced your issues and found out that when you download the file from your email, it downloads it as a .pac file (dliveBk.pac). Just rename the file back to "dliveBk.dat" and make sure its on the root (/sdcard/dliveBk.dat) of your sd card.
There are two possibilities...
First, some broadcasters don't provide track info.
Second, most likely your case, you probably have the internal stream engine turned on.
You can check by going to >settings >advanced users.
The internal engine is still in beta state so some things aren't complete.
The track info should show on the next update.
This might be a bug with a particular phone or maybe an issue on the broadcasters side.
What phone and android version do you have?
Also, a link or name of a station that has these issues would really help for testing.
That's actually a very good idea :)
We'll definitely put that on our to do list.
For now though, you could have a shortcut for each station your like.

You can get to the shortcuts by long pressing on the home screen of your phone. Then just press shortcuts.
Make sure you first pair your bluetooth device to your phone. It should be somewhere like >settings >wireless & networks >bluetooth settings. Once the device is pair to your device, you should see it on Xiialive settings.
>settings >advanced users >bluetooth options

About the aac not working...
What phone and android version do you have?
Try turning the internal stream engine by going to >settings >advance users
The internal engine is in beta state so it might work great for you or it might have some issues.
Currently the track artist/title isn't shown but we should have an update, hopefully, this month that will fix that.

Sorry for such a late reply to your post...

If you are still experiencing this issue, try turning the internal engine on by going to >settings >advance users. Now the internal engine is still in beta state so there might be some small bugs or issues. For example, the track artist/title will not be displayed.
This should allow you to play aac stations but let us know if you still have any issues...

You can get to the settings by either pressing "settings" on the home screen, or by scrolling the menu bar at the bottom of the screen until you reach the settings button.

Try restarting your phone.
Sometimes things might break and a restart is all it needs. If you still experience the same issues please send us an email ( visualblasters@gmail.com ) so that we can try to fix this.

We currently don't have an option to do this but it is definitely on our plans. The only way you could do it now (it might be hard remembering everytime :P) is by installing a widget that enables/disables 3g. Your phone might have one already or you can download one from the market. I believe beautifull widgets has one.
