Hey Olivier, I realize you wrote this a while back. I just searched for Groovera using the UberStations directory on XiiaLive and there are now 8 Groovera stations! :) Hope you can come back to XiiaLive. :)

Hey Chad! Thanks for sharing your solution with us. The URL protocol "http" shouldn't be case insensitive according to RFC3986. I'll have to look into this.

Yeah, that's a mistake I tend to make often. I wish to add support but not enough time to do it... :( As Rodrigo mentioned, current release plays local files but it's just not the right user experience when it comes to playback handling. XiiaLive was designed to be the best streamer but not for local file playback.

Interesting thoughts @Evildog. So you are saying that doing backups are impossible the new way without having a file explorer app installed correct? I do see where things are getting complicated, essentially if you have no app to store the backup file. I will make your post into a new topic if you think I understood your post right.

What I'm thinking to do is; store backups under xiialive/backups. Each backup you do a new file will be added. When you hit restore the newest backup will be picked and restored. If an old legacy backup found it will restore that one.

Hey @Dimitris, can you send me both backup files? The .xl and the xiia one? I would like to check them both. Hopefully you still have the good xiia backup file.

About the station count. I think the backup files should help me reproduce that issue too. I'm sending you a private message with my email.

Hey guys I want to summarize or hopefully get some definite details about the issue. Each detail is important as it provides a hint to the main cause and a direction for us to reproduce the issue. Sorry for the long list! :P

Please provide an answer to the following questions:

  1. Are you starting playback from a home screen station shortcut?
  2. When you press any button from the lock screen player playback stops?
  3. Opening XiiaLive, going into favorites, and playing a station. After that turning OFF the screen playback stops?
  4. Turning the screen OFF always causes playback to stop? After how long?
  5. What device do you have? What Android version does it have?
  6. Are you connected to WiFi when this issue happens?
  7. Do you have any Bluetooth devices paired with your device when the issue happens?
  8. Do you have headphones plugged when this issue happens?
  9. Do you have any phone optimizer app running? Virus protection app or other?

Hey, we looked over the issue and modified some things with Facebook. It might help. Where did you download the app from? Could you try clearing XiiaLive cache and Facebook app cache to see if things work? Please know that clearing the cache will erase all content from XiiaLive. Also, it will cause the Facebook app to ask you to log back in. Thanks!

Hey guys, very interesting topic. I'm no lawyer and have no lawyer to give me their input. But last time I looked into this it wasn't a problem if the content wasn't redistributable. Essentially work like a DVR. The content would need to be locked from re-distribution.

This is a tricky area that does require some checks with the law. That and the fact that time isn't on my side this feature is on the back burner... :( with features such as Android Auto and Chromecast being much higher priority. :)
