When you get an invalid URL issues please go to xiialive settings and all the way on the bottom press bug report. That should help us see what could be the cause. Thanks!

OK I have written before and am confused.

Susana Castro hace 14 años actualizado por Jona (Lead Developer) hace 13 años 5
OK I have written before and am confused. I go to www.radiocentro.com.mx and want to connect to 2 of their stations there. You all say you do not support the format yet. 2 of the stations on that site I can access on xiialive. There are 2 others on there I cannot. The 2 I can access are Universal 92.1 and StereoJoya 93.7. They were already on the listings. The 2 I want to add are RadioCentro and Fonografo. When I try to add the 2 already on xiialive I get an unsupported format error as well. Maybe I am entering something incorrectly. Please help!!!

Hello, sorry for the late reply. I usually recommend sending an email to the radio stations. Sometimes they can provide you with the correct link to stream their radio station. The formats supported by XiiaLive are MPEG and AAC.

GPS location?

Anónimo hace 14 años actualizado por Jona (Lead Developer) hace 14 años 1
It seems quite unnecessary that xiialive needs to activate the gps to find my location. I hear that the ads are location-based, but as far as I understand every other app I use find my location based on cell tower location. But my gps icon keeps flashing on and off with xiia live lite. I use a HTC Legend.
Otherwise, xiialive is my absolute favorite app, all categories! Fantastic work, beautiful interface.

We currently don't support iPhone.  Our home page www.xiialive.com does not specify that.

Is it possible you looking at the shoutcast/winamp website? They are not the same company as us.

Accidental default app

Kimbo Slice hace 11 años actualizado por Jona (Lead Developer) hace 10 años 3
I selected XiiaLive as the default application on my galaxy s 3 for Dropbox audio files. XiiaLive does not play the file and I can't find anywhere how to remove that feature. Help?

The following steps should reset the default launch settings for XiiaLive:

  1. Go to your devices Settings and tap on Apps (Might be called Applications manager or on older phones simply Applications).
  2. Find XiiaLive and tap to open the App info page.
  3. Scroll down and under Launch by default tap on the button Clear defaults. That should remove all default launch settings for XiiaLive.

Buffers alot when listening to kblo 1 and 2 even on wifi.

Chris Gunter hace 14 años actualizado por Jona (Lead Developer) hace 14 años 0
Buffers all the time with Kblo 1 and 2 even on wife. using lite version would paid version help with this?
Respuesta
Jona (Lead Developer) hace 14 años
I have investigated the particular KBLO station and was able to reproduce the issue rarely.

Event though this is a very low bitrate station, I have seen that the data connection sometimes lags a lot causing the app to go into buffering mode. The player is starving because the data rate goes up and down inconsistently.

Thanks to that station, I was able to find other bugs in the app. This fix should improve streaming of these types of streams.

Reconnection issues with ASX streams

johnny_se hace 13 años actualizado por Jona (Lead Developer) hace 11 años 0

When roaming and switching between WLAN, 2g and 3g, the stream you listen to needs to reconnect. Although on all versions of android the latest 2.2.4 player skipps the phase of creating playlist and tries to reconnect right away.

When you start connecting to the below stream it creates a playlist first, then connects. Upon connection drop, i need to go to the favourite menu, pick another station in my list, then that one does create a playlist and then connects. I cancel that stations connection and switch back to my original channel i was listning to. Now it DOES create a playlist and then connects without a problem.

Can you rewrite the program / reconnect function to completly reset itself on connection drops?

3FM Windows Media WMA 32kbps http://livestreams.omroep.nl/npo/3fm-sb

31kbps ASX 44,1Khz 2ch

P.s. this also happens when i take out my headset, the xiia stops playing (as i configured that in its options). But to reconnect to the stream later again, i can not press play, i need to select another station first to "reset" the internal engine i guess.

Previous versions of the player did not have this issue, been using the program quite a long time now and well basicly only listen to the one dutch radio station above :).

Note also that when i got packet loss, xiia will just wait till it receives again and coninue playing, which is good. But on network switching well..it involves taking the phone out of my pocket and click and point here and there :)

thx in advance, hope you guys can look into this and i have supplied you with enough details to locate the problem, otherwise just ask, i keep testing :)
