Plugin Requests & Features
AudioAddict Network w/ Premium Account Login (Digitally Imported, Sky FM, Jazz Radio, Rock Radio) - Load Favorites, organize stations, etc.
TuneIn Network w/ Account Login - Connect to the TuneIn network and load Favorites.
Audible (Audio Books) Network w/ Login and ability to list, organize & Play purchased books.
Google Music - The ability to connect your Google music account and play through this app.
Other features:
Folders in Favorites. It would be really nice for way to organize things in the favorite section, group them in folders, etc.
Thank you for the radio reference plugin; I was able to uninstall the scanner app I was using and replace it with your plugin. I don't mind paying a small extra fee to add features like the ones listed above under plug-ins, but the pause feature should be standard and included in the app.
Thanks for all the hard work; I don't know your situation as a developer (Sole or team) but I'm hoping that we can at least get audio addict login because some of us have been asking for this for years and it just hasn't shown up. I know how to load a playlist and play premium stations through this app but it is an awful hack and not an elegant way to do things at all. You need to do it tediously by adding each individual station or it will group everything together in an unorganized mess. I know when I e-mailed you several years ago you said you were working on it I was just hoping that at some point we can get it added. As I said before I don't mind paying a small fee for plugins to help support your development of this app, it's just a matter of the actual plugins getting done.
Again thank you for a great app that I can't wait to see what's coming next.

AudioAddict Network w/ Premium Account Login (Digitally Imported, Sky FM, Jazz Radio, Rock Radio) - Load Favorites, organize stations, etc.We currently support authentication for premium accounts. However, allowing account login to have having access to their data I'm not sure if they have an API for that. We will take a look and see if it is even possible and how it would fit within our app...
TuneIn Network w/ Account Login - Connect to the TuneIn network and load Favorites. We will soon add our own cloud storage for your favorite stations and songs. We are unable to access TuneIn APIs to fetch users data.
Audible (Audio Books) Network w/ Login and ability to list, organize & Play purchased books. This is an interesting request. I'll look into it but can't promise it will be added.
Google Music - The ability to connect your Google music account and play through this app. We'll take a look.
Folders in Favorites. It would be really nice for way to organize things in the favorite section, group them in folders, etc. This has been requested before and it is on our plans. Hopefully it is added very soon!
Thank you for the radio reference plugin; I was able to uninstall the scanner app I was using and replace it with your plugin. I don't mind paying a small extra fee to add features like the ones listed above under plug-ins, but the pause feature should be standard and included in the app.We are working on a very powerful stream engine that will allow pausing/seeking/recording almost any audio format. Hopefully in the next 1-2 months we have something beta.
Really appreciate your feedback and yes it's just about only me for developing, business and support...so it gets very hard to add requested features and work on new exciting features at the same time... :/
Any other questions please let us know!

Frequently losing streams
Hi
I love this app and use it to listen to a couple of radio stations, but it’s losing the streams several times most days - it seems to stop streaming almost when the wind changes direction, which is incredibly annoying and inconvenient. I use it in a mostly very strong signal area.
If I listen to the stations using the station’s own apps it’s fine – no dropouts, no stutters, no hiccups or skips. However, if I listen to the same stations using Xiia Pro it results in ALL of the above problems, i.e. dropouts, stutters, hiccups and skips. It even happens with Xiia when using WiFi, only 9m - 10m from the router and the tablet/phone sitting on a table, not moving!
What is going on? Why can the radio station apps keep the stream and Xiia can’t?
I’ve tried using it on a 3G Nexus 7 tablet (Android 4.3) and two different phones – HTC Desire C (Android 4.0.3) and Huawei Ascend Y300 (Android 4.1.1) on T-Mobile, 3, Vodafone and Virgin mobile networks, and the results are the same on them all.
It’s Xiia Pro 3.0.2.5.
Thanks

Some questions for you:
1. Could you provide the URL to the station you are having issues with?
2. Did you notice similar issues with other stations from SHOUTcast?
3. What audio format and bitrate is the station? MPEG or AAC?
4. Are you using the FFmpeg stream engine? If you don't know what that is then most likely you aren't...
PS: Sorry for the delayed reply.

Buffer cannot be adjusted for icecast streams
Hello,
I have a samsung vibrant running 2.2 but my problem is with 2.3.
I have a police scanner that I broadcast using icecast. I also broadcast via radioreference.com (I'm not sure exactly how they serve audio). I listen to my icecast stream in my car.
When I upgrade my rom to a 2.3 based rom (say, cyanogen), xiialive (2.2.4 free) always buffers for 15 seconds of time. I have tried in my icecast settings disabling burst on connect and setting the burst-size to one. Same problem. I broke down and tried a pirated pro version of xiialive (2.1.6) and manually set both buffers to 1000ms and it still buffers for 15 seconds.
What's weird is, when I listen via radioreference (the m3u on this page):http://m.radioreference.com/?feedId=7059 it buffers for about 3 seconds. It's only on my icecast feed http://184.91.43.57:8001/listen.m3u that it has the delay problem. Unfortunately their feed is 16k and mine is 48k.
I will absolutely purchase your app if you can tell me how to fix this (perhaps a config problem on my end?) or that it will be addressed in a future release. I am at my wit's end and have googled the shit out of this problem. I used to use streamfurious but the developer has basically abandoned it, leaving you guys as the last ones standing.
I'm going to include a link to my stream.
I'm begging you, please help me. Tell me something anything that might help.
Thanks so much,
Calvin

XiiaLive Pro doesn't seem to regain audio driver after other apps
Hi Jona, I'm running Android 4.2.2 on Verizon (grrr) Galaxy Nexus with XiiaLive Pro. I just noticed that I can play music on several music apps in succession but XiiaLive doesn't seem to re-establish the audio driver after other apps have been used.
Here are my steps to reproduce (I have widgets set up for all 3 apps):
1) Stream music via XiiaLive. Works like a champ.
2) Press Stop on Xiia
3) Stream from Grooveshark app. Works like a champ.
4) Stop GS playback.
5) Try to stream from Xiia again. It looks like it's playing but no audio can be heard.
6) Stop Xiia.
7) Play music from Play Music app. Works like a champ
8) Stop PM
9) Attempt to stream from Xiia. No audio.
10) Stream from Grooveshark app. Works like a champ
11) Play music via Play Music app. Works like a champ
12) Stream from Grooveshark app. Works like a champ
If I Force Stop Xiia, it will work again but obviously not a reasonable solution. Let me know if you need logs or anything.

Thanks for the detailed feedback. I'll be investigating the issue... There seem to be some issue with the Android audio focus. By the way you can set to ignore audio focus under settings->sounds. That should fix the issue temporarily.

android cant connect under 4G, only wifi
I believe it might be something with my phone though and not xiialive, has anyone else had this issue?

ffmpeg Does not work for some sites, and can be skippy.
I really like the pact that ffmpeg was added as it starts to stream almost immediately but I have some issues. I usually stream 128k AAC+ stations, and it works well for sites like Radio Partadise But dit crashes for sites like SomaFM Secrete Agent , or any other SOMAFM station. Not sure why. I also experience jumpy skippyness after a while with FFMpeg. Are you planning on updating FFMpeg? BTW, I have used XIIA in Pro for a while and find it to be the best out there for those that want good quality streaming, especially with a solid buffer for driving.

Thanks for the post! Yes, we will still be working on FFmpeg trying to improve it. Currently there might be some jumpy skipping going on with AAC content. We are working hard to make FFmpeg hopefully one day the default engine since it's more stable and reliable.

If you are still having this issue, please try using the latest XiiaLive Beta version. There where multiple fixes done that could have resolved these issues. Please try using the Stream engine "Android" to see if the issue is resolved. If not most likely you will be able to stream without issues with the "FFMpeg" engine.
