Forward/Back Buttons In App Don't Work - IOS
I just moved from Android to IOS & the functionaility either seems to be different or broken in IOS for the Forward/Back buttons. In the past, these buttons would advance through my favorite stations. Now when I press the buttons when a station is playing the internal app sound (what sounds like a ball bouncing) plays & the current stream just restarts. I did just upgrade to Pro thinking that maybe this was a Pro-only feature but it does the same thing in Pro & the free version of the app.
This is on an iPhone 6S/IOS 9.1. XiiaLive version 1.2.0.

Hey, thanks for the bug reported. This is actually a functionality that we didn't get to implement yet. As your findings below, the prev/next works on the current media playlist. We will make favorites as the default behavior and will add an option under settings as we have on Android to choose which behavior is wanted.

Is there an exit option
I may sound technology challenged but is there an "exit" option? I don't want to have it running when not using it.
Simply pressing STOP will cause the app to be inactive. Then simply hitting back to close the app will terminate all services. A XiiaLive process will be visible on a task manager but that is only kept in memory by Android to optimize when opening the app again. If the app isn't open and the OS needs more memory it simply clears the XiiaLive process. XiiaLive will not be running anything in the background once no stations are being streamed.

Update v2.2.3 brings in a lot of performance updates along with some minor bug fixes and a couple new features. The performance updates are most noticeably found when using the "Internal stream engine" and the "Android stream engine".
The internal stream engine has been optimized to start AAC/AAC+ streaming incredibly much faster. Metadata support and percent loaded has been added along with a bug fix for streaming OGG stations where after the song was over it would stop streaming. The engine should also be a lot more stable and should recover a stream a little more gracefully. The internal stream engine is still a work on progress and might work perfectly on some phones while on others it stutters and is unreliable or unusable.
The android stream engine is our default stream engine which uses the Android media framework. This is still our preferred choice since its performance plays nice with battery life but it doesn’t work equally on all phones as we would like it to. On some phones streaming just doesn't work or a proxy patch is required. Also, some phones might play a little of the stream and than just stop playback unpredictably. Going back to the actual update the AAC streaming has been improved a lot. On slower phones this should be more noticeable. Also, for streaming MPEG stations we have improved this and hopefully it works great on all phones! We hate to make changes on our stream engines to avoid breaking it but we need to in order to support all phones and increase the stability and performance.
Another great improvement has been applied to the stations lists. The downloading on the background is now very efficient and much faster. Be believe it’s a lot smoother specially on devices running Android 3.0 or greater. We created a better download updating mechanism that makes you find and play a station a lot faster! A few key features I want to let you know about if you didn’t know.
- 1.Press the selected menu button again to go back out of a sub list or press the back key to get out of a sub list.
- 2.If the list is currently not at the top pressing the selected menu button will take you to the top of the list.
- 3.Press the selected menu button when the list is scrolled all the way to the top and you will refresh the content of the list.
The new features are just a few. Character encoding selection is a new feature that allows the user to specify what character encoding to use when decoding the incoming metadata. This helps avoid displaying bad characters for some languages. This is mostly useful for South American and European stations. You can access this option by long pressing one of your favorite stations and selecting edit. A minor change was the sleep timer. The max time has been increased from 60 min to 120.

The SHOUTcast radio directory service is currently experiencing server side issues. This is the reason why there aren't that many stations now and why you can't find your favorite stations.

bug or not?
I hear Nebelwelten-Radio with 48kbps and mostly with 128kbps, now when I transmitter with 48kbps to My favorites, I can not add more to 128kbps must seek the channels manual or click on the extending, I also can not the stream select the higher bit rate because I already hear the Station.
favourites: 48 kbps=Manual search 128 kbps
128kbps=Manual search the Station with 48kbps
i cant add 2 Station, one with 48 kbps and one with 128kbps, i can only add one Station

So just to see if I understand you. You are trying to add the two stations, 48kbps and 128kbps, to your favorites and only one you are allowed to add?
When you try to add the other station do you see the add favorite icon showing that it is already a favorite station?

The provided URL is only to a website and not an actual radio station. Try asking the radio station for a direct link to their station.
unsupported media
I'm getting an unsupported media e:-31 error when try to open http://www.slamfm.nl/slamplayer/SLAMFM_ITUNES.m3u

fontsize too small
Additionally I'd like if the text will be wrapped if it doesn't fit the available horizontal space.
Of course other people might have different preferences, thus my proposal is to allow selection of "basic" fontsize.
