pings out, and lost favorite station.

i was able to find my favorite statino, and now that i have changed phones to a replacement, i am unable to even locate said station. Could someone please help me? the station is ClassicSoul1075.com. Thanks, oh and i am constantly receiving dropped areas

Hello, I just checked and it seems that the link you are looking for is: http://65.60.19.42:8340/listen.pls

You can copy paste that into the app. Just go to favorites and click the last item on the list. This will start a wizard for adding your custom radio to the favorites.

Tunein decided to bring their app interface back to android 2.3 standards and removed several useful features.
Congrats on becoming the only well designed internet radio app!
Now all we need is online sync to be perfect..

cant find specific stations using app search

I have a xperia x10 and i can't seem to search for specific stations on the app.  Search comes back with some results but not the one i'm looking for.  When i search on shoutcast on my home computer it finds the station.  then i use that exact name and search on the android app.  It dosen't find the station.  any Ideas?

The requested station should be available on the SHOUTcast directory if not you can switch within the app to UberStations.

searching by location or call letters

Is there a way to search by location?  For example local stations in Seattle, WA or Dallas TX.  I also noticed that it doesn't work to search by call letters.  Is there a way to do that?

Thanks for your feedback. We have added a new directory called UberStations. This new directory allows you to do exactly what you wanted. :)

Reconnecting to stream after making call takes too much time + stream is interrupting every 10 sec

Hi,


I have a problem with the connection to audio streams after making a call. So if I start a stream with 3G it is working perfect (connesting after max. 5 sec. and no interrupts during stream). After a call the reconnect to the stream takes too much time (30-40 sec.) and after reconnecting the stream is interrupting every 10-15 sec. After killing the app with Task Manager and restarting the app isn´t working, too. I have to restart my phone for getting the stream work correctly.


My Device: ZTE Blade with Cyanogenmod 7.1 with Android 2.3.7 - XiiaLive 2.2.4 (Paid Version).


Have you an idea what could be the problem?

Using the Internal stream engine resolves this issue.  It appears that after a phone call the Android Media Framework does release properly resources to allow uninterrupted audio streaming.

Tones hub doesn't work and 7digital just links to the app. (Who uses those anyways?)

"Play" button on BT device

Dear support,

When I connect BT device, and then press play on BT device, android starts default music player.

If i run XiiaLive in advance, and press play on BT device, it play my favorite station.


Question is:

How to start XiiaLive, instead of default Music Player, when I press play on BT device?


P.S. I know about autoplay option, when BT is connected, but it's not the same

XiiaLive by default is not the main media control handler on Android. In order to make XiiaLive the default media control handler you must enable that option.  

  

Here is how to make XiiaLive the default handler for all incoming media controls:

1. Go to XiiaLive Settings.

2. Go into App controls.

3. Set Media control to ON.

How can I add http://delicast.com/radio/Russia/101.ru_Vladimir_Visotsky to my favorites? I did find a few alternative asx links but all play a warning message in Russian.

This issue might be if you are outside the limits of the broadcast if any limits set by them.


Do you still have the same issues with the latest release of XiiaLive v3?

We definitely want to provide the app on iOS. It is just a bit difficult since we are very small company and resources aren't enough :(. But we are actually working to improve XiiaLive for Android which in turn will contain a lot of the projects core code to be reusable on iOS. So it should make this a lot easier for moving it to iOS.

 

I really would like to port it over sometime this year! :)

We are currently not developing applications for independent radios but will be providing soon our streaming engine library. We will most likely license it for use.
