Bluetooth (A2DP) Volume Issue

brian busch il y a 13 ans mis à jour par Jona (Lead Developer) il y a 13 ans 0
Thank you for a great program!

When connected via A2DP in my car (using Blackberry's Stereo Gateway and my Nexus One) XiiaLive's volume control stops working and audio levels are very high and distorted. With some messing around I was able get "normal" audio levels out of XiiaLive and the internal volume controls worked, but immediately following a phone call the volume returned to distorted levels. I was only able to accomplish this while the phone was on battery power and not connected to the car dock.

I have tried the same experiments using the native music player but the volume levels are always "normal" and not distorted. No matter what I do I cannot reproduce the issue outside of XiiaLive.

I have ruled out the BT gateway because I have used it successfully with other devices. No amount of rebooting or updating makes a difference either.

Thanks again.

Sorry about the delay responding your post.  Have you tried using the internal stream engine?  Please let me know...

Unable to play local media files

I have purchased the Pro version of Xiialive but after the latest update I am unable to play any music files stored on my phone external SD card. Please advice since this is a purchased version of Xiialive.
1. Device : Micromac A116
2. Android version: 4.2.1
Solution

At the moment we don't officially support local file playback. We are mainly a remote media streaming app. We did however change various things since your last post that could have improved local media playback. If you have any other questions please let us know.

Sometimes volume is at max for a short moment after starting a stream

Daniel Dorau il y a 12 ans mis à jour par Jona (Lead Developer) il y a 10 ans 21

Probably since the last update (the issue is relatively new) I have the following problem:

After starting a stream, the volume is at max. for a very short moment (a few 100 milliseconds?) which is very uncomfortable if you're using headphones.

I have disabled the seperate volume control, so the music should be played with the general system volume.

Phone is a Nexus 4 with Android 4.2.2, the stream was 128kpbs MP3.

After doing some research and trying multiple methods to avoid this issue it was seen that this was a bug with the Android OS caused by the internal media server. This has been resolved on various devices after receiving new Android updates. We are unable to resolve this issue on our end. Hopefully this issue has been resolved on your devices.

When you move the app to the SD card in Froyo, the widget dissappear and cant be added, to have the widget working have to have the app in the phone memory. In HTC Desere some times need space and will be bether your app work complete in the SD as in the memory!

We are currently working to provide widgets on the Android Market separate from XiiaLive.  This should allow you to install to SD card and be able to use the widgets.

Internet streams unstable since upgrading to 4.4.2 on Note2

Jay Fromme il y a 10 ans mis à jour par Jona (Lead Developer) il y a 10 ans 1
I am running the latest pro version (3.2.0.8) on Android 4.4.2. Everything worked great on Android 4.2. However, since upgrading the OS, I have the following issues:

1) If I select Android as the streaming engine, the stream will start and stick at 99% buffering forever.
2) If I select ffmpeg, it will randomly stop working about 5 to 10 minutes and will report "Service Crashed".

The stream I am using is 24Kps mp3. It does require authentication too if that makes a difference.

Any ideas?

Thank you

Hey, we have updated the app a few times with some important changes to our FFMpeg stream engine. Please let me know if you still have issue with the latest release v3.3.0.2.

About the Android stream engine issues. Well, this engine is no longer being worked on due to the amount of issues various devices have with it. We have allocated all our time making the FFmpeg stream engine the best engine possible and we highly recommend using it.

Do you or anyone else support Blue Tooth for listening to the radio on Samsung or any other Android phone?

David Marshall il y a 13 ans mis à jour par Angel Maclean Ulriksen il y a 8 ans 4

I have the Samsung Galaxy Android and I use Bluetooth.  I have a tried one app for listening to the radio but it will not play through the Bluetooth earpiece under any setting. The phone works very well with Blue Tooth.  Samsung support says that is up to the developer of the APP to provide Blue Tooth support.  Does your APP support Bluetooth?  Additionally, can I receive Canadian AM broadcasts such as CBC, etc. on your APP?  Thanks for any feed back.

Tim M il y a 13 ans

Well it depends on your bluetooth device...

Most ear pieces don't support music streaming and aren't stereo.
They only support low bitrate and mono (good for voice calls) so it won't work for listening to music.
If your device does support music streaming though, you can listen to xiialive through bluetooth :)
First (you might have already done this), you have to pair your bluetooth device with your phone.
You can do this by going to your >phone's settings >wireless & networks >bluetooth settings (the location of bluetooth settings might be a little different on your phone).
Once you have your device paired up with your phone, go to xiialive and press on >settings >advanced users >bluetooth options
If your device shows up on the list, it means you have paired it up correctly to your phone. You can tap it to get more options.
You might also have to turn on the "media controls" by going to >settings >user experience.

Phone fails to switch between 1X/3G/4G while streaming

solo9999 il y a 12 ans mis à jour par Jona (Lead Developer) il y a 10 ans 5
Hi,

Samsung Galaxy Nexus running ICS 4.0.4, Verizon.

I noticed that if you start streaming on 1X, the phone never switches to 3G/4G. Or if you start streaming on 3G, it would never switch to 4G. However, if the speed goes down a level , it will drop for let's sat 4G to 3G. I don't have this problem when the app is not streaming. It seems to get stuck on the speed the stream was started and it won't let the phone go up a level even though coverage is available.

Thanks.

We have done a lot of testing and research. The main issue seems to be with Android OS radio drivers. This is something we are unable to resolve on our side. Newer versions of Android seem to have improved in regards to this issue.

Backup & Restore should include all settings

Marc Knaup il y a 11 ans mis à jour par Jona (Lead Developer) il y a 11 ans 0
It's annoying having to reconfigure the whole app any time I reinstall it or switch the device. That includes app settings as well as per-screen configuration (e.g. sorting of favorites).

Having them part of the backup & restore process would be awesome :)

Thanks for the idea. I think it is interesting to provide such a feature. I will look into it.

Thanks for your question! You must become a broadcaster in order to have your mixes played. If you like to create your custom radio you actually can! Check out this link for more information!

Problem playing asx stream

Claudio Alonso il y a 13 ans mis à jour par Tim M il y a 13 ans 5

Hi, I'm trying to listen the following url:

http://streaming.metro951.com/metro

But I keep getting the following message: "stream engine init failed"

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

--Claudio

Solution
Tim M il y a 13 ans
It's because the url is not in the right format :)
It needs to end with something like .mpeg or .asf
Add any of these two to your favorites :)
