Google Backup Service support

Nanren vor 9 Jahren aktualisiert vor 8 Jahren 3

I want a Google Backup feature that i can sync my tags, favorits, and my settings into my Google account, and allow users to edit tags and station on xiialive.com. First, just make simple backup that backup 2 files, settings and tags/favorits/links xml file to Google, and after that you can do advanced backup.

Barry Skelly vor 12 Jahren aktualisiert von Jona (Lead Developer) vor 12 Jahren 0

Hi. Excellent app by the way.

Having a bit of a problem with the latest version of XiiLive not scrobbling to Last.fm. Anyway I can fix it? Running Android on a Samsung Galaxy Y phone. Thanks a lot!

Last.fm bug has been resolved. It is now part of release v3.0.1.2.  Please make sure to turn off AVCRP metadata feature to get scrobbling to work. You can turn it off by going to XiiaLive settings -> App controls and scrolling all the way to the end.

10 seconds rewind button?

Nanren vor 10 Jahren aktualisiert von ale aa vor 8 Jahren 9

Can you add a 10 sec rewind button?

Tunein have 10 sec rewind and forward button but sadly Tunein developer keep creating new annoying bugs every update so i'm moving to XiiaLive. i tried the free app of XiiaLive and i liked it already because it has the same feature like Tunein have and XiiaLive is more advanced but rewind button is missing.

Thanks for the idea. A rewind button could be useful. We will add this to our list of requested feature for review.

No sound

Craig Bischof vor 12 Jahren aktualisiert von Jona (Lead Developer) vor 12 Jahren 0

I dock my Droid Bionic overnight to charge via mini USB.  The dock also has a ear piece plug in, which I use to listen to Xiia radio. Works fine.

After I undock and try to use Xiia during day, usually no sound. I've tried "stop on unplug" both ways, no different.

Occasionally sound will return when I plug & unplug an earpiece.

Otherwise love app... C

Most cases this is not an issue with the app but with the phone and or paired device.  I would recommend you restart your phone and try again. If that doesn't work try playing an mp3 from the android music player. If you can't hear anything than the BT media line is not paired...  Try going into the Android settings "wireless and networks->Bluetooth settings" Than long press your paired device and press options.  Make sure "Media" is checked and is connected.

Weird electronic stuttering sound

Dwayne Wilson vor 11 Jahren aktualisiert von Onno B vor 11 Jahren 25

Hi, I have the newest version of XiiaLive on Android KitKat 4.4 on my Nexus 7. When I have XiiLive running, and I change to another program, screen or even just open a folder it makes this weird electronic stuttering sound. not the music stuttering, but a sound over everything. it is just momentarily there, but it happens each and every time i do anything on my nexus while the music is playing. Do I have something set up wrong? Help... I love XiiaLive BTW and have been a user for years now. Thanks for a great product.

Does anyone still have issues with the latest release v3.2.0.5? The app streaming engine has been completely redone and hopefully no longer produces issues.

Is there any reason why some of the channels won't play after my upgrade to Froyo?

Depending on your phone, we have seen that all HTC phones that upgrade to Android 2.2 "Froyo" loose the ability to stream AAC/AAC+ content. This is a bug in their Media Framework and we are working hard to get a work around.

So if your favorites include some that are AAC/AAC+ they wont play... :(

Player stops after 2 seconds of play time

Raiu Breaks vor 12 Jahren aktualisiert von Jona (Lead Developer) vor 12 Jahren 0

I am using my samsung galaxy note 2 ATT This issue happens if I am on cell data or Wifi. The player will stop after about 20 seconds of playtime
(Varries some times) and re-buffer and play fine the rest of the time the app is on. It will do this every time the app is restarted or user presses stop then play. Again after the initial instance the player will play like normal. Full signal/bars is reported by phone as well.

Station I am tuning into is:

http://bassdrive.com/v2/streams/BassDrive.pls

Stream Settings:

Retries : on

Data guard: off

Playlist preload: off

Smart Recovery: on

Advanced

Metadata: on

Stream Engine: Droid

Cache : 1 min

Prebuffer 1000ms

buffer length 40000 (I had to set it this high to drive across town and it not drop the station when switching towers)

connect time out: 5000ms

read time out: 5000ms

Antwort
Jona (Lead Developer) vor 12 Jahren

Hey sorry for the delayed reply! I would recommend you take the prebuffer to something higher. more like 15,000ms since this is the initial amount of audio it's gonna buffer before starting playback. Right now it is too low and will cause the player to go into buffering for a long while since you have set buffer length to 40,000 ms.

Please read the following post to understand a bit more about the buffer settings:

Fixed

Fail to Connect

Thomas Forrester vor 10 Jahren aktualisiert von Guido vor 5 Jahren 7
Hi guys,

I just wanted to alert you to a situation I face fairly frequently with XiiaLive on my HTC One running android version 4.4.2.  This situation occurs when I am in a weak signal area of my home, which unfortunately is where I hook my phone up to my living room stereo.

Often, the Wi-Fi signal strength shown in the status bar will be two, maybe three arcs, but definitely below full strength.  When I use XiiaLive to connect to a favorite Internet radio station, a "failed to connect" condition is fairly likely.  When this happens, and even if the signal strength increases, maybe because I move out of the way a little bit or hold the device in a different position, XiiaLive will never recover from this condition and connect to the stream.

I can, however, switch Wi-Fi off, in which case XiiaLive immediately connects via the mobile network, and then turn Wi-Fi on again, stop the stream in XiiaLive, and then restart it.  At that point, the stream is properly connected via Wi-Fi, and it's all good.

I hope with this information you might be able to locate something in the code that is preventing a successful retry to connect to a stream under marginal Wi-Fi signal strength.

I have two other quick questions that this has brought to mind.

When I switch off Wi-Fi and XiiaLive connects to the mobile network, will it ever automatically reconnect to Wi-Fi when it becomes available again, or once connected to the mobile network, is the app locked onto the mobile network and unable to switch back to Wi-Fi?

And finally, on the stream graph at the bottom of the app, when the buffer index markers are red, does this indicate that the app is using the mobile network?  Usually when on Wi-Fi those markers are white, and I only see red when I'm on the mobile network.  Just wanted to verify that red means I'm on the mobile network.

Thanks guys!  As always, XiiaLive is my go-to app for Internet radio.  There's no better app out there.

Hey Thomas, sorry we never got back to you on this topic. We have since made various modifications to the app to be a bit smarter and faster and should have resolved your issue. If for some reason you are still having issues please let us know.
