The SHOUTcast radio directory service is currently experiencing server side issues. This is the reason why there aren't that many stations now and why you can't find your favorite stations.

We hope SHOUTcast can resolve this issue ASAP! Here is a link related to SHOUTcast developers in charge of this service:

The provided URL is only to a website and not an actual radio station. Try asking the radio station for a direct link to their station.

Hi,

I'm getting an unsupported media e:-31 error when try to open http://www.slamfm.nl/slamplayer/SLAMFM_ITUNES.m3u
(got link from http://www.slamfm.nl/slamplayer/radio.php).

Hey, I clicked on the URL "http://www.slamfm.nl/slamplayer/radio.php" from my phone and it directed me to the browser and then provided the option to open the stream with XiiaLive. After I openned it it worked fine. The other link might be wrong. Please let me know if you are still having issues. We have done various updates to our stream engine since your post.

fontsize too small

I'm running Xiialive an an older 7" tablet (Android honeycomb, Archos 7it) with the tablet connected by hdmi to a bigger control monitor. Everything is fine. But the fontsize used is too small to be readable in my favoured viewing distance (2m). I'd like the font to be enlarged by a factor of 3..5 (yes indeed:-)

Additionally I'd like if the text will be wrapped if it doesn't fit the available horizontal space.

Of course other people might have different preferences, thus my proposal is to allow selection of "basic" fontsize.

New backup not working (Can't open file)

I broke the screen on my Nexus 6 phone. I bought a new Nexus 6p and downloaded the backup file from Google drive. When I try to open the file by clicking on it from the download folder it say "can't open file"

So right now I don't have any of my favorite stations even though I have a backup file. Any help would be appreciated

Hi Isaac,

unfortunately, using gdrive, the backup file doesn't work.

As Evildog said, you can use a file explorer app, dropbox or via email (XiiaLive can open it).

XiiaLive v3 now has a basic EQ. In the future we will add a more advanced set of features for the EQ.

Data streaming continues when i'm calling

Now the music stops when I answer a call and resumes at the end, but i think the data transfer continues in the background even when I'm talking on the phone.
Is it possible to stop the streaming data and automatically restart it at the end of the call to reduce data consuption?

Thanks for your request. Here is what we are currently doing.

When streaming on CDMA networks such as Verizon or Sprint, the data connection is stopped immediately. On GSM networks the data connectivity still continues during a phone call. Our current logic is continue streaming if connection dropped reconnect and if during a phone call it waits until phone call is over.

We don't stop the stream cause some phone calls are short and we allow the stream to return without interruption.

What you think if we add a 15 or 30 sec timer to stop the stream? That means if you are on the phone call longer than this time we stop the stream and resume upon ending the phone call....
