Stream cache duration question

Andrew Networth hace 13 años actualizado por Emochris hace 10 años 6
I have XiiaLive Pro purely for the stream cache duration option that sets it to 60 mins. I use this option for my train journeys , however ive noticed that if i get a phone call or permanently lose internet it sometime wipes the stream cache thats been building up. its terribly frustrating. any ideas

The latest releases of XiiaLive v3.2.x has our brand new stream engine which now pauses playback while on a phone call. Also, the cached audio data will not be lost after a phone call. We carefully designed it so that even if a connection was lost during a phone call a reconnection would happen during or after a phone call. This should make the experience much nicer!

Adding "Greatest Hits" Genre

Chris Haslage hace 14 años actualizado por Jona (Lead Developer) hace 14 años 0
The "Greatest Hits" genre has been around for a few years and it is one that is listed on Shoutcast's directory by a number of stations.  Could you add this to your Genre List.

It is a bit different than "Hits", it is only music that was added a Greatest Hits album, that's the difference.  Thanks!  It'll save a lot of searching for Greatest Hits stations.

nexus 5 + headphones stops playing

Sean Colgan hace 12 años actualizado por Jona (Lead Developer) hace 12 años 2
Great app! Like it much better than tune in :)
I am seeing one problem though. I typically start playing a stream via the built-in speaker then plug in headphones after 10 min or so. Invariably this causes the stream to stop playing indicating that it's re-buffering. It never reaches 100% and the only way to continue playing is to hit stop then play again.
This is only an issue on my new nexus 5. This did not happen on my old galaxy s2.  On my old phone I'd plug in the headphones and the stream would just seamlessly transition to playing through them.
Thanks!

Are you looking to control streaming via the headset controls but have the audio coming out of the phones speakers? Please let me know, I'm interested to understand why you would like this feature.

How to remove a favorite?

Anónimo hace 16 años actualizado por Jona (Lead Developer) hace 16 años 0
It's easy to add a favorite, but I can't figure out how to remove a favorite that no longer works, or find any help on this. Thanks.

Very easy to do! :)

Long press a favorite station and you are going to see a few options. One of them is "remove". Once you hit it a "you sure?" button will be shown just press again to confirm. Your favorite item should be deleted!

You can also edit your favorites url links by pressing the "edit" button.

landscape view revamp

Krzysztof Byszewski hace 14 años actualizado por Jona (Lead Developer) hace 12 años 10

I use the app on tablet in landscape mode. It's nice...but....kind of awkward to navigate. You might redesign the landscape mode a little bit. portrait mode is composed in nice and clean way but this just doesn't translate into landscape. You can't just rotate stuff. On tablets and in landscape you have to treat it more like a open book (two pages left and right)

Have a look on tunein radio app on iOS (not android). they have a very nice navigation for iPad and they solve access to relaven info by sliding left/right

I like the quick access to menu on landscape mode but in fairness I would more consider putting some more relevant info on left or/and right slide menu.

At the end of the day you have to verify whats the 90% of actions you would do on radio app like this. For me it's not searching or access ing settings it's switching between stations I already found and looking on more relevant info if I like what I listen.

What I like:

visual stream representation

volume slider! (It's the only app that has it tight on the radio display screen)

slider menu (nice way to quickly access it)

Great feedback.  We mainly designed landscape to be very simple for small screens.  The design hasn't really been optimized for tablets or TV   That is something we are looking forward on improving very soon!
