Favorite station genre not working properly in Android Lollipop 5.0
After upgrading to Android Lollipop 5.0, station genres no longer work properly in Favorites,
both from my KitKat 4.4.4 backup and when starting over from scratch.
This did work properly in KitKat 4.4.4.
Please fix the problem. Thank you.

I have resolved the issue. Android 5.x updated their database SQLite version and this brought some issues with our internal database queries. I have updated to resolve the issue and will be part of our next release v3.3.0.

Few questions for you:
1. What is the device model and running Android version?
2. Does this issue happen with MPEG streams? How about AAC streams?
3. Please reproduce the issue and collect the logs right away.

Fixing so CheapestStream Streams Will Play
I have a stream with CheapestStreams and they have an output that mimics ShoutCast, though XiiaLive won't play it:

There seems to be something wrong with the AACP decoder you are using? It doens't decode properly on PC Winamp program and also the app is having issues. One thing I did find was that we didn't have the mime audio/aacp declared on our app manifest to report to Android that we support this media type.

[XiiaLive Beta] No sound after two minutes
After two minutes (approximately) sound stops, but data still flows and time running in timeline. I have latest beta version installed on U8120 - eclair 2.1.

Favorites Scan
I noticed in the settings menu that there are scan options, including duration and whether you want to scan to be random. Is this supposed to be for favorite stations? I cannot figure out how it works. After I select a favorite, the first favorite that comes up after I select the forward arrows is random, but after that if goes through my favorites in alphabetical order. It also does not change favorites after 15 seconds. Is this feature in effect for the most recent beta? If it is, how do I access it?

Ah! I'll be making tutorial videos for all the new features once we release Xiia officially. :)
So the feature SCAN mimics your car stereo scan feature... How it works is that you go to a list of stations. It can be used on any favorites, top hits, genre or a search lists. Simple drag down on the selected menu bar button to get the drop down menu options for that list. There you will find the SCAN feature. Let me know what you think!

Resume in playlist
I listen to DI.FM station and have some favorite channels. DI gives me link on my favorites playlist like http://listen.di.fm/public1/favorites.pls?fa37<my_...>1f
I added this link in XiiaLive, it handled correctly, everything work fine, but when im exit app an open it again autoresume feature stars play on 1st station in playlist. But when i reconnect bluetooh headset it's start to play on last station as suggested. I tried playlist caching on and off - nothing changed.
Also it would be great favorites and playlist shuffle feature.

Thanks for the feedback! We currently don't save the last played position on the playlist. This is why when you return to play something you played a while ago it doesn't start there. I have added this request to our bug list. Hopefully should be fixed soon.
About the shuffle feature I will also add that to our features request list. If you don't mind me asking... just curious, why do you need the shuffle feature? Thanks!

Different Sorting Methods for Favorites
Currently the favorites system allows for sorting based on category and the number of plays for the station. When a large number of stations is in one categaory the sort by number of plays method can become confusing. I suggest adding an option the user can select to sort stations alphabetically.

Can't stop notification sound
Until today's 2.1.9 update, I was able to silence the notification sounds. Now, I select "Disabled", but the sounds remain. This must be a bug in the update. Please add it to your list of tasks for the next update. Thanks.

Station buttons without player showing
I'm using the pro-version on my tablet.
When pressing a homescreen shortcut, the player windows opens.
Now when you want to change the radio station, you have slide the right border, go to favourites, press the according button. Or go back to homescreen and press another shortcut.
On an tablet the player window is ridicoulos big with more or less nothing on it.

Can you please make the shortcuts to start playing in the background or improve the player window and add a better link to station buttons /plus volume keys) there.
As it is now, it's a pain to change the station.

XiiaLive v3.0.1.1 has been improved to include favorites button to the left of the player button on the menu bar. This should help partially to your request. We are already working on a new optimized design concept for tablets. We have no release date yet for this new design.
