Triple M Sydney and Triple M Classic Rock (both Australia) have recently changed their audio streams. Search results are coming up with the old streams. Can you please update your records. Thank you.

As above. I just get 'android media' errors and the sound of a bouncing ball.

I'll wait a few days for a response before uninstalling and leaving a '1 star' report on google store.

Thanks for taking the time to write about this issue. Few questions for you:

1. Please provide the device you have and the Android version it is running.

2. What is the exact error you see?

3. Please try playing an AAC and also MPEG station. Let me know which format has the issue you are reporting.

Landscape and portrait switching bug

Xiia application version : 2.1.7

Phone model: Motorola i1Iden Technology.
Android Version: Cupcake 1.5

Setup (Pre-condition): 
Phone must have landscape/portrit mode switch.

Steps to reproduce: 
1. Open Xiia live in portrait mode.
2. Tune in any streaming.
3. Turn to landscape mode.

Current Behavior: 
1. Streaming is interrupted. Xiia application kills the streming connection and connects again to the streaming server.

Expected Behavior: 
1. Streaming should remain connected after portrait/landscape switch

Additional Information:
Issue is not reproducible in  Xiia previous version ( I think it's 2.1.6 ).

Reproducibility - Attempt:6     Failed:6

Getting back to this.. Have reproduced the issue on other Android versions too. Thanks for the detailed feedback.  This should be resolved on the upcoming update!

AFL .asx on Xoom

I dont know if this a problem specifically with this stream, or if its to do with the asx. 


I have Xiialive lite installed on my Xoom.  When i try to put in this stream url to load, it doesnt seem to think that its a valid url.


It doesnt always have audio streaming through it, but it does seem to always buffer and load through windows media player.

Unfortunately this is the ONLY way to listen to the AFL radio online so I have been looking for a way to do it for a while.

I have tried playing this stream with Winamp but I was not able.  I'm thinking this stream might be using some very old server or it might just be down?

Xiia can't seem to play frisky radio's hq aac stream properly - it stutters. The same stream works fine in my squeezeboxes, tho. anyone else seeing this?

Any ideas?

Thx in advance - id love to be able to listen to my favorite radio on the go!

Turning OFF the internal stream engine resolves the issue.


XiiaLive -> Settings -> Advanced users -> internal stream engine set to OFF.

We are happy to have added AVRCP 1.3 Metadata support! This is essentially a "hack" to make it work on your Android device. So if it doesn't work let us know and we'll try to see what's going on. 


We also have done a lot of clean up and bug fixing... This should enhance app performance on your device!

Not working properly SHOUTcast Radio

Two days after installing the program acted as Body and yesterday stopped and I can only play the same link station to FAWORITES typed, but does not own any stations selected when you click on the TOP HITS example, GENRE, and does not search well in SEARCH. Communication is always in mind \ ki himself: "Unable to connect". Waiting for your help and advice. The application I have in the tablet with Android 2.3.4 greet and wait for advice from someone with you??

There have been some issues with Shoutcast servers lately but they seem to be ok now. If you press on "top hits" or "genre" button (on menu on the bottom) twice, it will refresh the list.Try that and see if they come back. When there are issues with the servers, there is little we can do except wait :(

buffering loop

when my tablet has weak connection, XiiaLive falls into a tight 0% buffering loop and eventually blocks the tablet. It would be preferable to wait a few seconds between connect attempts and between buffer attempts. The time between attempts would release CPU for WLAN reconnect , and to wait till WLAN conditions improve. They usually recover within 10 seconds or so.
WLAN recovers better when there are no traffic attempts. Maybe such inter-attempt intervals are settable Advanced Settings. Thank you.

Thanks for your feedback. The current stream engine heavily relies on the Android media framework. This means we can't control too much of the buffering experience as we would like. However, we are just about done with our latest stream engine that will be very reliable and fast! This should resolve those issues... We really hope to release this soon.
