disable notifications of new songs

 How do I disable the notification of every new song in the notification bar?  This is a particularly annoying feature and is about to make me batty, as I'm trying to read The Economist while listening to nice music, but I get a notification ever 3-4 minutes.  I am not ADD, but feel like this app is making me so.  Thank you for any tips.

The notifications happen every time a new song starts playing. Your request is a first but it is an interesting option to have. I will set this as planned.

uberstations display

In addition, Uberstations directory view displays the song name in the first, bold line, and the station in the second, faint line. This disturbs me. For Shoutcast the first line was  station name, the faint line is song name, which made more sense to me. I'm sorry to say that I prefer ShoutCast and hope the best for its future.
I put this comment into "Bugs" as it best fits . This is about the directory, not the player pane. Thanks in advance for consideration.

Thanks for your feedback! Yes, song is showing at the top for this particular directory. The main reason was that the directory is based on real-time song updates. This is still early stage for the UberStations directory but it will be growing as we move along. Maybe later on even add an option to swap the info around to look like SHOUTcast directory.

How do I access settings/options menu?

I'm using the latest free version and can't figure out how to get into the settings menu? If I hit menu while the app is loaded nothing happens. I seem to recall a settings menu?? Was it deleted with an update or something? I want to change the settings for re-connect tries. I'm running a live stream and sometimes it disconnects, xiia retries connecting one, maybe two times before it gives up.

Right after you open the app you will be shown the 6 big buttons. Scroll down and you will see the settings button.  Click on that and you are in settings. Then choose Advance users. This particular feature is enabled on the paid version.

AAC + crash on GALAXY ACE (android 2.2.1)

I download your new player ver 2.2.4,  on   GALAXY  ACE  (android   2.2.1)

almost all  works fine     but  in  AAC+   the  player  remark  "Android fail..."

Could you try reproducing the issue and capture the logs immediately?

Also, you could try using the Internal stream engine.  So go XiiaLive->Settings->Advanced users

i can´t find the paid version, if i click on the ad in the player it goes direst to the appstore, but there it says it is already installed.
How can i pay for the full version?

Usually when the user clicks purchase we display the two apps paid and free versions. I can see now how doing it like that can be misleading... It appears that paid apps are may not be available on your device?

Search by language?

I would like a "sort by language" option.  (i.e.  I tell it I want all Russian Stations, then 'Rock' or 'Metal' or 'Comedy.')  This is the only feature I really miss from other apps.  (I say that because XiiaLive is my favorite music app on my Droid.  :D )

Thanks for the feedback! So you want to be able to see all the stations from your country. Like if you would hit genre Rock you want all the stations Rock but from your country correct?

We currently support the play/stop controls. Some applications take away the media controls and never get to XiiaLive. We are in a way upset that some applications are very aggressive in terms of these controls. We are most likely to provide these aggressive controls but always with an options to turn it off.

Xiialive problems from the latest version

Yesterday I did update to the latest version in xiialive and maked two problems

First Xiialive shows that I have 207 radio stations and the true number of my radio stations is 407.

And last the backup file .xl don't show the tags with Cyrillc and Thai alphabet while before with. xiia these tag showing perfectly.

Please bring back .xiia!

Configurable Bluetooth Metadata

So, first of all, I just want to congratulate on the best Internet Radio app currently on the market. As someone who has recently migrated from TuneIn, I have to say that Xiialive is light years ahead in features. While I do think that the Shoutcast directory is somewhat lacking on international radio stations, and would love to see additional directories, today I am writing to talk about BT metadata streaming. 


What I would really really love to be able to do is define, in some advanced settings, the metadata information transmitted via Bluetooth. While I know that Xiialive is supposed to send station, artist and song name, for some reason my car stereo/phone combination only shows song name metadata. That is, I can only see the song name, not the artist nor the station. This is not a Xiialive problem, it also happens with the phone´s standard music player and other apps. 


My goal is to use bluetooth controls on the car without accessing the phone, so I wish I could navigate through my favorite stations seeing their names on the radio without need to check the phone screen. 


So, would it be possible to configure Xiialive to send, for example, station name on the song name tag? There are thousands of streams that do not tag their songs, so being able to use those tags for additional info would also be soooo great (I can think of battery status or traffic RSS feeds for example). 


Anyhow, I am using a Samsung Galaxy S3 with Android Jelly Bean 4.1 and Xiialive Pro 3.0.2.2 on a 2013 Nissan Connect system, Thanks and keep up the great work.
