Local stations?

fantasma 11 years ago updated by Jona (Lead Developer) 11 years ago 0
Any way to add a section for local stations, like tunein has? Via GPS perhaps?
Answer
Jona (Lead Developer) 11 years ago

In the next week or so we are releasing something new that will give you access to your local stations! :) We will announce once we release it on our Facebook and Twitter accounts!

You can also try finding the stations using vTuner and play them using XiiaLive.

Hi do you think in a near future the albums picture gone ne send to my audio car système like spotify did

Hi Gerald! Apologies for any late response. We support album art via Androids standard protocols. Once Android updates their AVRCP version to 1.6 or greater the app should automatically support it. Hope this helps!

BUG: Spontaneous Volume Drop Accompanied by Unsafe Volume Warning

Thomas Forrester 10 years ago updated by Ralph 9 years ago 1
At night, I plug my phone into a charger and an audio patch cable (via headphone jack of course) connected to a nice stereo system. XiiaLive Pro then wakes me up in the morning with it's Alarm Clock feature and my favorite Internet radio station.

Ever since my HTC One M7 (on AT&T) received the Android Lollipop 5.02 update, XiiaLive Pro will start the radio stream normally and at the volume I have set. But then, randomly (i.e., not every day) and spontaneously, the volume will suddenly drop to a near inaudible level. This can happen any time after the stream starts, but often it plays fine for 20min or more. When I wake the screen, then dismiss the alarm notification pop-up, behind that I find a "Raise volume above safe level?" warning. I have no clue why this is suddenly appearing spontaneously and at random, but it is affecting XiiaLive. Are you aware of this issue? Is there a fix?

Bitte fügen sie eine Funktion hinzu damit der Player beim Reconect nach einem Funkloch nicht aufgibt.

Stefenzo 14 years ago updated by Jona (Lead Developer) 14 years ago 0

Delayed reply here... Are you still having this issue? On XiiaLive v3 a lot of things have improved and been fixed.

Proactive restart after IP change

René Hüftlein 14 years ago updated by Jona (Lead Developer) 14 years ago 0
If you change technology or the hotspot (WLAN -> 3G etc.) it is just natural to lose the IP and in effect lose your stream.

It should be possible to detect an IP address change and automatically re-initialize the streaming while the buffer of the former stream is still played.

Right now the app plays until the buffer runs empty and then restarts streaming, meaning a buffer size of 20 secs will cause a gap of 20 secs.

Bug since latest update (Dec 10 2014)

Joachim Weis 10 years ago updated by Jona (Lead Developer) 10 years ago 2
Hello,
my device is a HTC One M8 with Cynigenmod.
The latest update of Xiia live pro confronts me with the following bug:
My favourite station is BBC London 94.9 with the following URL: http://bbc.co.uk/radio/listen/live/bbclondon.asx
From about DEC 10th (last update) on, Xiia plays this station (and strangely enough: ONLY this station) with WLAN connection only. All the other stations can be listened to normally.
Is this a bug you can confirm?

Greetings from Germany

Headset button function does not coexist nicely with Doggcatcher

tuxmobil 12 years ago updated by Jona (Lead Developer) 10 years ago 4

Using the lastest Doggcatcher and XiiaLive (3.0) from Google Play on Galaxy Nexus.

Preconditions:

0. Doggcatcher's headset setting is "bind to headset", but _not_ "forcefully".

1. XiiaLive's Media Control setting is "OFF", meaning not being the default app.

2. Doggcatcher has a podcast downloaded and ready to play.

3. XiiaLive is in the foreground, playing music

Actions:

1. Pressing the headset button

Expected outcome:

XiiaLive stops playing music.

Actual outcome:

XiiaLive continues to play (says the UI) but the audio is "overruled" by the podcast which starts playing from Doggcatcher.

My expectation was that Doggcatcher would not be triggered because XiiaLive was in the foreground and actively playing music.

Further actions:

2. Pressing again the headset button

Expected outcome:

XiiaLive resumes to play music.

Actual outcome:

Doggcatcher stops, but XiiaLive still not hearable again (although still playing , says the UI). But it's not complete silence, there is some kind of digital noise hearable (silently).

Forcefully closing Doggcatcher brings back audio from XiiaLive.

My general expectation of apps not "forcefully" bound to the headset (installing themselves as the default headset app) is that those apps do not respond to the headset unless they are playing music or being in the foreground. By this I would be able to pause/resume podcasts from Doggcatcher or pause/resume music from XiiaLive, depending on whichever app is currently used (in the foreground).

This kind of coexistence seems to be broken. I cannot tell who to blame, but apparently XiiaLive doesn't even pause the music here, it is just muted by Doggcatcher.

I would appreciate if you could investigate (and possibly also talk to the Doggcatcher dev).

Thanks.

I'm setting this as fixed. We have done various updates since this post. We are currently abiding by Android suggested rules for media controls.
