Digitally Imported disapearing

Brad Arbeiter 11 ár síðan updated by Jona (Lead Developer) 11 ár síðan 1
Almost all of the Digitally Imported stations are no longer available.  I have also tried to load them by importing the website directly which has not worked either.  I see that Tunelink radio still has the capability to stream DI.FM.  Is there thoughts of changing to a different caster if Shoutcast is slowly shutting down.  Or is there away to add support for Digitally Imported directly.  I have contacted DI.FM and this is there response.

"Hi,

Shoutcast (AOL) is slowly closing its free relay servers, which causes some of our services to disappear from shoutcast listings.

You can still listen via our website, or our dedicated URLs (also available via our website)."

I did notice that but we have recently updated XiiaLive to use UberStations as our default radio provider. Simply search di and you will find some of their stations. Currently searching "di.fm" will not work since there is an issue with the search and ".".

By the way if you want to add any of their stations to UberStations you can do so following these steps:

Is there a way to turn on lock screen controls on XiiaLive beta?

Christopher Nichols 12 ár síðan updated by Jona (Lead Developer) 12 ár síðan 0

Would be nice to have similar controls to the widgets. Pause, stop, tag.

Answer
Jona (Lead Developer) 12 ár síðan

The beta should already support the unlock screen player controls but apparently there is a bug there... :/  We do have widgets with the following set of buttons play/stop/next/prev and play/stop/tag.  However soon we will create much better widgets with more options!

Trying to add a radio station.

Karsten Nygård 12 ár síðan updated by Jona (Lead Developer) 12 ár síðan 0

Hi

I'm trying to add this radio station to the app, but it can't connect. They support several different streams but neither of them work..... Please give me a hint on what I'm doing wrong. The radio stations is http://www.radiovolum.com and their streams are these once. http://s2.viastreaming.net:7130/listen.pls or http://s2.viastreaming.net:7130/listen.asx or http://s2.viastreaming.net:7130/listen.ram or http://s2.viastreaming.net:7130/listen.qtl

Streaming stops and never recovers

jj jjstrom 11 ár síðan 0
Hi,

Sometimes when streaming on mobile data streaming stops (no disconnect "knocking" sound) and never recovers without manually starting playback again in XiiaLive. Some notes on problem:

-bugreport.txt is here: http://pastebin.com/u0YYKaZM
-On bug report problem occurs at time somewhere between 16:40-16:50.
-Happens to me only on mobile data (no wifi) both wcdma and lte networks.
-Happens on areas that most of the time streaming works fine.
-Happens on cyanogenmod 11 (4.4.2) and Samsung stock android (4.3).
-Stream is http://www.yle.fi/livestream/puhe.asx which is very stable (no problems on wifi).
-Problem might be asx only.
-Streaming sometimes also recovers, usually this happens with "knocking" start/stop playback sounds.

regards,
dzeidzei

Not working properly SHOUTcast Radio

koko10 13 ár síðan updated by Tim M 13 ár síðan 0
Two days after installing the program acted as Body and yesterday stopped and I can only play the same link station to FAWORITES typed, but does not own any stations selected when you click on the TOP HITS example, GENRE, and does not search well in SEARCH. Communication is always in mind \ ki himself: "Unable to connect". Waiting for your help and advice. The application I have in the tablet with Android 2.3.4 greet and wait for advice from someone with you??

There have been some issues with Shoutcast servers lately but they seem to be ok now. If you press on "top hits" or "genre" button (on menu on the bottom) twice, it will refresh the list.Try that and see if they come back. When there are issues with the servers, there is little we can do except wait :(

Why am I getting this Walgreens commercial?

Floyd Hartsfield 12 ár síðan updated by Jona (Lead Developer) 12 ár síðan 0
Answer
Jona (Lead Developer) 12 ár síðan

What type of commercial? Visual or audio?

I'm assuming audio? Some stations put some commercials in order to pay their servers cost. However in general they are short.

Something important is that we don't place audio ads on top of radio stations.  We only display advertising visually as a small banner.

Slow response on low-end phone, too big fontsize

Szilárd Kovács 12 ár síðan updated by Jona (Lead Developer) 12 ár síðan 3

- UI response time is on my phone (600 MHz, ARMv6), is too long (several seconds). Maybe because of the animations? In free version, you could turn off the default animation? Or any other cause of the problem?

- On low-resolution phones is the fontsizes somewhere a little big - for example, in the configuration. This complicates the work of translators.

Answer

Thanks for the feedback! Could you provide the device name you have and what version of Android is running?  Also, if you are able to take a snapshot of the screen you see the font being too big would help us see and understand what could be done.

Logcat spam

Michael Pujos 12 ár síðan updated by Jona (Lead Developer) 10 ár síðan 2
When the ffmpeg is the active engine, logcat is spammed with repetitive traces:

01-05 01:35:24.700: I/JniPlayer(2588): receive_thread() -> sleep cuz queues are full

I advise to remove this trace cuz it may slow down the device :).

Beta hangs when WiFi connection is lost

Keenan Tims 12 ár síðan updated by Jona (Lead Developer) 12 ár síðan 3
I've been using the beta lately and it's a nice improvement. Fixes my biggest issue which was the common choppy in sleep issue since 4.0, solved with the proper power management flag.

Anyway, I've noticed that if I walk out of the office and lose WiFi for a minute or two and then return, XiiaLive will be hung at 'buffering' with no response to the controls. Even killing the XiiaLive processes doesn't solve it and so far all I've been able to do is reboot.

Doesn't seem to be a problem if the connection is restored quickly. I have Data Protection activated, running Jellybean 4.1.1.
