Problem with favorites restore !!

Hi, I'd just change my sd card for a bigger on on my desire hd and have a problem with xiialive. I token my backup dliveBk.dat from my old card and copy it on new sd but when I want to restore my favorites radios xiialive say ok, but no favorites radios. Do I make a mistake ? let me know please

Are you changing phones? or are you just changing SD card? If you are just changing SD card you don't need to backup the data. Please make sure you placed the backup file under the SD card root which is inside the sd card and not inside a folder.

Do you get an error when you restore it?

My marked favorite songs &  stations backed up in cloud? Is there a cloud account to keep this backed up and accessible? 
Or a way to send backup info to email

Currently we don't support cloud backup of your favorites. At the moment the only way to backup is by going into Settings and pressing Backup & Restore option. The backup file can be emailed to yourself.

can't play my stations anymore

Until yesterday I was able to play my stations like the links on radiozu.ro and radio21.ro on XIIA. Today, using the same links I get 'invalid params' message. Why? I use a SamsungS3 on USCellular

Are you still having issues with these stations? If you are have you tried restarting your device? The error you are seeing is very odd...  What Android version are you running? Also, are you using the PRO version?

Yes regarding my request for help in playing aac+ streams. By switching to FFmpeg in the options does allow audio for these file type streams to play, but unless I switch back to android mode I'm now unable to play wma.  Why can the MediaU app for example play all codec types without the need to switch menu options?

The reason why we have the stream engine switch option is described under the settings (?) help button.


"Allows picking the default stream engine to use when streaming MPEG, AAC, and AAC+ audio formats. All other formats will be streamed by the FFmpeg stream engine."


It shouldn't matter what engine you have selected, wma format will always play on FFmpeg.  Do you have a particular URL which is having issues?

The easiest way to start your own online radio station would be to use the free SHOUTcast broadcasting tools:

station metadata randomly wonky at times

Sometimes while streaming stations, the song data displays as an odd string like in the image attached. It's always 2 alpha characters followed by a 5-digit numeral. What's up with that?! It seems to be somewhat random. Later, the same station displays song info without an issue. Is the problem the metadata sent by the shoutcast station or xiia's interpretation of it? Or is it something to do with starting a stream mid-song?

I have tried the same radio you are listening to and I see the similar pattern of the metadata.


I have tried it on my PC and same metadata shown.  I think this something to do with the radio broadcast.

Now there is! Simply switch to the UberStations directory from XiiaLive. You should be able to search for the state and get all stations from there.

widget not working 3.0

The widgets are not working on my Htc Sens after upgrading to ver 3.00. I'm running ICS.

We have moved some of the code around on our project. This will cause installed widgets to disappear on some devices. Could you try adding them back again and see if they work? Also, there is an issue on Android 4.X where the widgets are 4x2 instead of 4x1.

Configurable buffers for data and wifi

If we had separately configurable buffers for when I'm on wifi or cellular data it would mean I could have the radio start playing quickly when I'm on wifi but still buffer enough for my daily commute.
At the moment I have to keep changing the buffer setting, which is annoying.
