m3u file default application

Anonym vor 14 Jahren aktualisiert von Jona (Lead Developer) vor 13 Jahren 2

I'm not sue where the source of this problem is, but when I open an M3U file (via Astro) and tell Android to always open M3U files with Xiialive (lite), it works fine until I restart my phone. After booting, the default M3U association is taken away from XiiaLive and I once again have to tell Android what program to use when opening that type of file. Do you know what could be causing this problem? It's very frustrating, since I use Tasker to open an streaming M3U in XiiaLive as an alarm clock. but it never turns on if it's stuck on the screen asking what program to open it with.

Some Android OS's have issues with remembering associations.  In this case I believe its an issue with your device.

2 Applications Always Start on Bluetooth Remote Control

Qboy61 vor 14 Jahren aktualisiert von Jona (Lead Developer) vor 13 Jahren 20
XIIAlive is a great program, but now that the program interfaces with bluetooth remote control in my car I end up with 2 programs always starting music. The Music program native on my Droid1, and XIIAlive both start playing music when I push play. Is there a way to control which program gets bluetooth remote control so that when I push "play" on my bluetooth connected device I get only 1 program playing music?

We are investigating... Thanks for your feedback!

Update 02/21/11:
There is an option to disable XiiaLive from taking over the media controls under Settings "User experience" -> "media controls" to OFF. However there are a couple few details we need to resolve.

Update 06/01/11:

Update v2.1.9 has resolved this issue.

Stability Issues on Galaxy S3

Vince vor 12 Jahren aktualisiert von Jona (Lead Developer) vor 12 Jahren 2

 XiiaLive Pro 3.0.0.02

A couple of minor issues that affect Galaxy S3 I9305 running 4.1.1, but not Galaxy S running 2.3.6 (tested on stock ROMs with no other apps installed).

1) Smart recovery is not as effective. Running a Shoutcast 128kbps stream, it will drop out within ~2 seconds after connection loss. On the Galaxy S it will continue for ~15 seconds with no connection, as expected.

2) The app will often half freeze with a choppy connection. By that I mean it will not continue playing the stream, even when the connection returns. It will open/close and respond to menu touches, but not Rewind, Stop, Play/Pause, or Forward. The only way to get it functioning again is to either clear the app from the memory with Task Manager, or hold the Stop button until the bottom of the app reads "SERVICE CRASHED!". It then responds as normal.

1. When you say drop out do you mean the stream gets restarted or does the audio just goes out and buffering state is active? This is an area I'm planning to improve on a new and improved stream engine I'm working on.

2. Could you try to reproduce the freeze issue and collect the logs? Could potentially allow me to see where things could be going bad...

Display Favorite Title on Live View

Terrence Jones vor 13 Jahren aktualisiert von Jona (Lead Developer) vor 13 Jahren 0
I wish the name I chose as my favorite Title were displayed in the Live view's station name field.  The stations that I listen to have long and annoying titles which scroll and are distracting when driving.

I realize that I can double-click to disable scrolling, but this is inconvenient when driving (can't this be set as a default?)

This is definitively a great idea.   That should be the behavior.  I will set this as planned. Thanks for your feedback!

Navigation Volume Incompatibility Bluetooth/AUX (Gingerbread)

Raheel Aidrus vor 13 Jahren aktualisiert von Jona (Lead Developer) vor 13 Jahren 0

There is a general problem with navigation voice prompts being played at an inaudible level when another media app is playing over bluetooth or even line-out (aux) connection. The latest gingerbread music app works fine, but XiiaLive and others (winamp) do not play nicely with navigation voice prompts. The music volume gets lowered, but the navigation voice prompt is so low that it cannot be understood. Since the latest gingerbread music app doesn't suffer from this issue any more, I thought maybe XiiaLive could also implement a similar fix.

XiiaLive v2.2.4 - release notes

Jona (Lead Developer) vor 13 Jahren aktualisiert vor 13 Jahren 2

Release date: 09/22/11

Version: v2.2.4

Update v2.2.4 is mainly a maintenance update.  This update resolves a few issues that caused XiiaLive to crash.

Most of the crash issues where related to the database being closed on rare occasions. This is hopefully completely resolved.

Other crash issues happened with the new custom lower menu bar.  There was an issue related to divide by zero exception.

And finally s little threading cleanup for the stream engine.  Generally creating a new thread uses a lot of resources and can cause the app to run a little slower.  A few threads where removed on the stream engine that weren't needed minimizing the resources used by the stream engine.

The following are the changes.

Antwort
Jona (Lead Developer) vor 13 Jahren

Fixes:

-Rare crash when starting a new stream caused by invalid sound effect theme.

-Auto resize menu bar divide by zero crash.

-Various database exceptions that caused app to crash.

-Minor app optimization by consolidating multiple threads into one.

Filter vs Sort

kc27 vor 9 Jahren aktualisiert von Jona (Lead Developer) vor 8 Jahren 2
XiiaLive is a great applicaiton and the filters are a useful tool. Will you be adding a sorting functionality? I am looking to be able to sort a list of stations. For example, I select the genre "Swing". Once XiiaLive returns the list of stations, I would like to be able to sort them in ascending or descending order by a user selected criteria such as number of listeners or bitrate.

If this functionality is there, I cannot find it. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

 Hi,

first at all I want to thank you for this great android app.

On the latest Version I cant enable the Last.fm Scrobbling option in config. When I leave the config Tab it switched back to "Off". The latest version of the official Last.fm App is installed on my phone (HTC One X, Android 4.0.4).
