Please keep the cache unless it is manually cleared

Sometimes, my phone seems to drop its WiFi connection for just a second: XiiaLive Pro turns on data guard, but when I check the phone only one or two seconds after the sound goes silent, the WiFi is already reconnected.

Pressing the play button restarts XiiaLive Pro, and I've lost only a few seconds' worth of streaming.

Unfortunately, when this happens, XiiaLive Pro clears the cache, which I have set to 60 minutes' duration.

Please would you not clear the cache when the data guard is turned on.

It would be awesome if you never cleared the cache (unless it is manually cleared — the app would need a "clear cache" button), so there is always (in my case) 60 minutes of recording that I could replay, even when out of range of my WiFi.

Restarting XiaaLive Pro after a break would simply continue adding to the cache as usual.

This could be an option in the Settings for people who do not like this idea.

Background data continues when app is closed.

I use xiialive when I work out, which is about 60 minutes, twice a week, then exit app. At some point in the last week it's gone hay wire. It says I've used almost 60 gigs since June 3rd (5 days). The app does not so up on m "open apps" (long press home button) list or on the running apps list in the system settings. It seems the background data is running no matter what. I have a widget on my home screen. Also, a shortcut to the app on my lock screen. But that's it.

I'm on a rooted droid razr maxx. Cm10.1 Jelly bean 4.2.

Thanks for the feedback... Wow, 60GB?! That's nuts! I don't even think your device can use 60GB of data in 5days. I also don't think the network would be able to do it. My guess this is a bug on the custom ROM.


One thing you can know for sure, XiiaLive is only running when you see the persistent, now playing, notification on the Android status bar.

[XiiaLive Beta] Can custom stations be added to beta?

I just installed the new beta and don't see an option in the favorites manager to add my own stations via custom URL.  Is this not available in the current version?

Currently the beta doesn't have the add custom URL but it will be added in one of the beta updates. Also, the official release of V3 will have this feature available.

Car stereo bluetooth next and forward buttons don't seem to work

In my car the next and forward buttons dont seem to work over bluetooth.  This worked in version 3.0.0.  Love the meta data but not at the sacrifice of the next and forward buttons.

Thanks for the bug report. Please try a few things to determine the cause.

1. Make sure to enable Media control under Settings->App control. This will tell XiiaLive to be the main receiver for media controls such as prev/play/pause/next controls.

2. If Media controls doesn't resolve the issues try disabling the Icy-metadata to disable AVRCP from being used. This option is located under Settings->Stream.

You could use a regular debit card to purchase. Also, you phone carrier might support to charge your phone bill instead of using a card. We currently support what the Android Market provides you. I know they might be adding very soon other methods such as PayPal.

Hi i have IPhone 5S today I was unable to play radio stations on Network mobile , But on Wi-fi working , when i press play play I get connection failure and after i turn on wi-fi and press play working , I'm from Romania , i have The latest IOS 9.2 , 4G Network and 2 weeks ago on data mobile works perfect , today i ca-n listen The radio only with Wi-fi...please fix this ! Sorry FOR My bad english. :

Privacy policy

I can't seem to find your privacy policy anywhere - exactly what data do you upload from our phones and where does it go? Since the app has access to the phone ID, location, and SD card this is pretty significant info.

Glad to answer your question! We don't collect any personal information from our users. 


Permission: READ_PHONE_STATE
This is used to know when to turn the volume down when a phone call is incoming or a phone call is outgoing.

Permission: ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION
This is only used by the ad companies.  It helps them target relevant ads according to the users location.

Permission: WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE
This is needed to write to the SDcard.  We write to the SDcard backup if you choose so under settings.  That is the only reason we use this permission.

The other information we collect is anonymous information about how the user uses the app.  That is what options under settings are set and how the user usually navigates the app.  The helps us better determine what options are relevant.

transfer to another android market account

Hi I purchased your player couple of years ago and love it using my old gmail account. I just switched to another google account that I use with my phone and the app is not working anymore saying that I need to upgrade it. I already paid for it and noone is using my old gmail account with it. Is there a way to transfer the paid version to my new google account?

Currently there is no way to achieve this using the Android Market.  However we can assist you transferring your purchase to another gmail account.  You would need to do the following.


1. Email us at support@xiialive.com with your original purchase receipt.  This will allow us to verify your purchase. 


2. Purchase the application again using your new gmail account.


3. Email us your new purchase receipt.


4. Please allow 1 day until the new purchase is approved and cleared by google.  Once approved we will cancel the old purchase and refund you the new purchase cost.

XiiLive Paid Version does not work at all on my Dell Streak with Froyo.

No matter what stream I select, it gets stuck on "Buffering 99%" and never plays anything. I've uninstalled and re-installed - nothing. I tried Winamp on this same tablet, and it works fine. Please advise - else I will have to abandon your software and just use Winamp.

data guard setting toggle

Hi, thedata guard is a fantastic setting,  however I regularly switch it on/off depending where I am (essentially I switch the guard on when in wifi area so if wifi drops without noticing it won't eat my data, as I usually have it on for long periods when in wifi). 
I was wondering whether it would be possible to put a dataguard setting toggle button within the main player screen,  instead of going through the long settings route each time. 
I was thinking best place would be in the "more options" menu button along side where you can set a timer/time off/equaliser
